PSA: If you use your iPhone to film your lifts...
Do you use your iPhone to film your lifts?
Do you also use your iPhone to play music while you lift?
Do you experience frustration stemming from the inability to do both of these things at the same time?
Fear not! There is a solution! For the low low price of $1.99 you can get the "Media Monster" app which will allow you to film your lifts while your music continues to play.
You're welcome.

Another reason Android/Google >> Apple. Can play music over video natively.
Just took me over a year to figure out.

Starting a recording just auto stops whatever application is using sound - it doesn't actually block it. All you need to do, after starting your recording, is to go back to your music player and press "play" again. It takes an extra 10 seconds or so, but you're probably editing your videos anyways.Murelli wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 10:59 amPlease enlighten me.damufunman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 10:53 am Another reason Android/Google >> Apple. If @damufunman knows an easier way to do it, I'm all ears.

I've been using Media Monster and I like it, but I wish it supported HEVC.

Had to google that, apparently it's a type of compression? Does it output larger file sizes than the native camera app or...?d0uevenlift wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:11 pm I've been using Media Monster and I like it, but I wish it supported HEVC.

Yeah, Media Monster still uses H.264, and iOS 11 supports HEIF/HEVC natively in the camera app. The video files from HEVC are half the size of H.264 and look just as good.TimK wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:29 pmHad to google that, apparently it's a type of compression? @Murelli @omaniphil
You can swipe down after hitting record and the player should be shown with a play button. 10 second down to 1. That'll be ¥10,000

On my android phone (Moto Z Play), if I switch to another app, the video recordings tops. Also I cannot pull down the menu when recording video.

Just found this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... eorecorder
The recording preview is turned off by default, but it's in the settings.

Guise, this thread is about iPhones, not your weird off-brand phones.

iPhone is just another word for smartphone by now. A video recording is still called a taping, even though tapes have long been obsolete, like the iPhone. /trolling

I'm only use Android for personal devices, wife uses Apple. I'm forced to use Apple at work, so no one can say "oh, you just don't know, man". Android is superior in every way except marketing.

Except for the IR front camera. Otherwise, my 2 year old Samsung does everything the new I Phone does. Well, mine doesn't auto-obsolete itself when a new one comes out.Cody wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:12 amLiterally lol'd at this!unruhschuh wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:19 am iPhone is just another word for smartphone by now.
