On the tattoo or am I missing something?

It's nothing super wild, (little lucky 13 horseshoe, it was our 13th anniversary, on my IG if you look...) but it's on the back of my wrist which admittedly I gave little thought to it's consequence on using wraps/straps lol

It was meant for my hand, but I didn't realize the artist who was able to fit us in was still in her apprenticeship, and thusly, is unable to tattoo certain spots...

If I could stop being such a shit mechanic and actually get rid of some of my debt there'd be much more to come, but it might be another 5+ years at this point before the next...

Yeah, the tattoo. I'm not on IG, I was wondering if it was on your shin or something.

Nah that would probably be easier though, especially since I usually wear my knee sleeves on them (my shins).

I think that for whatever pending touch ups it might need I'll just wear a cut off sock on it or something... not worried about it affecting healing or anything, it just doesn't feel all that great lol

I would like to stumble across a briefcase filled with cash so I can finally hit the gas on this patchwork half sleeve I want...

6/30/2023

Squat
560x1 (PR), 325x5x3

Close Grip Bench
365x1, 255x5x3

Arms
3x15

Was supposed to work up to a ~92% E1RM but realized there was a lot there so fuck it, sent it for a 35 lb PR... back to the script now though maybe with some adjusted numbers...

(OK, yeah I skipped RDLs, sue me)

Shit, man, that’s quite the PR, both in the weight itself and the jump you made to hit it. Congrats.

Hey thanks, not really sure what came over me as I was only supposed to aim for like ~440-455 today...

I swear I'm not intentionally sandbagging, I just hate squats...

And...

I really do gotta get off this lazy train though and start doing strongman shit again or Sept is gonna not be great. This programming is clearly at least not making me actively weaker in general, which is good to know, but I need to get some carries and moving going again because I know I'm gonna be dogshit at the moment...

Here's your random tidbit, if you get moles in your yard, a scissor trap is the best $20 you can spend...

If you get yellowjackets a road flare is the best solution, the sulfur goes to the bottom of the hive and kills the queen. You just keep kicking it further into the entrance as it burns back.
I'm going to remember that scissor trap thing though for when I'm in a more Northern climate.

Box Squat
385x3x4

Bench
315x3x4

Pendlay Row
225x8x4

Max Push Ups
45x1, 30x1, 22x1, 19x1

Arms
3x12 (fat grip)

Diets not going great if you were wondering. Will power to avoid the beer and burgers (especially this week while I'm off) is pretty weak. Too afraid to step on a scale if were being honest...

Good plan. Since I started doing some semblance of “cardio,” I’ve gained four pounds. Same culprits.

I am nearly ashamed to admit that I was pretty much toasted by noon yesterday and may have downed up to as many as three foot long dogs hahaha...

In a drunken fever dream my wife informs me I invented a new July 4th delicacy which consists of a foot long Sahlen's dog that broke in half and an Italian sausage on a foot long bun +condiments known as the Double Barrel Dog Log...

You’re a fucking culinary god and I am not joking at all.

Washing back a manhattan literally as I write this, which is what I do when beer has made me too fat. For a week or so.

Sigh.

I'm currently in negotiations with a local pickle place to get them to make honey mustard dill chips...

To be fair it's not an original idea, I got them in a bundle from a pickle place out in CA (@EggMcMuffin you ever heard of Kaylin and Kaylin?) that I paid way too much for because I'm a dork and I didn't count on loving them as much as I do and I want them to be available to me year round so I floated them to the head honcho...

They make sweet sriracha chips which are absolutely bomb on BBQ sandwiches...

7/7/2023

Squat
325x5x4

Close Grip Bench
255x5x4

Frame Deadlift
365x8x3

Keg Press
None by zilch you moron

Keg Carry Max Distance
275x~100'
275x25'x2

25lb Cornhole Toss
(a fucking bunch @20')

Fat Grip Arms
4x12

So in my dazed delirium rendered by paying the service bill on my new-to-me Ford I thought I had a good idea worked out for keg presses... until I realized the mechanics of a keg press would have me spilling out whatever I loaded when I ya know... pressed it.

Back to the drawing board there.

In more awesome news, strongman cornhole is as fun as it sounds, and it's interesting because since the board is at 20 ft you can't just balls to the wall whip it like you normally would a sandbag toss. You have to control it as much as you have to get it there because there's a target. I find I can get it in a pretty consistent spot by flinging from a dead stop about 6 or so inches behind my feet...
