Re: Sup
Oh god no.
The 8s I'd been doing some days/some sets on mm 3 week were plenty.
Kind of "boiling the frog" now with squat.
Took 20lbs off the top single, and i'm going to do very small bumps till i'm back to 405 with a few weeks left to work on heavier.
Hitting 3 singels per session
Hopefully i arrive back at 405 somewhat improved over the times i've been hitting it recently.
Doing 3 doubles 20 lbs below the singles (365 today) and my idea is to bump them the same way as the singles.

Re: Sup
I seem to only come here on the weekends. It's almost like I never run out of places to be busy on the internet (plus occasional work) during the week to remember to check in here. Plus I hardly even lift, so I come here only to see what rip and the dipshits are up to.

Some rock song, and at the end the guy says "It's breezy out here"
Like after a guitar solo ending, or something rawkus.
I dunno, help me remember what this is.
Google has no fing idea what i'm on about.
Found it. Must have heard it so often i thought it had been on the radio and someone else would have heard it.
Well, someone else old anyway.

Re: Sup
Damn.
I dealt today with a very small nest of some very non aggresive wasps under the front edge of our side porch eave.
So far i haven't seen any nasty bastards since we moved here 10 years ago.
I did set a hot chainsaw down on a ground nest of some sort of yellow jackets back in Oregon.
They were very nasty.

Re: Sup
Year or so after we moved in to our current place I cut down some brush/small trees etc and dragged the mess behind the shed. Fast forward through some laziness and I finally decided to clean it up. Turns out in the interim, wasps had taken up residence in the pile of brush and weren't super happy that I was dragging pieces of their fortress out. Swarmed the shit out of me while I ran around my backyard yelling obscenities... almost dove in to the pool. Got hit 5 or 6 times if I recall...
The whole reason I bring this up is to tell you that my oldest son (4, maybe 5 at the time?) was on our deck and saw the whole thing. Rather than call for help or see if I was ok, he only thought to shout to his younger brother "Dad's getting attacked by bees come see!"
He is turning 9 in a few weeks and will still occasionally reference this incident.

A couple of guys at work were late this morning because of this:

After reading MSP's "Armed men who don't recognize our laws," tweet this isn't who I was expecting. But surprises are fun.

Whoo hoo!
I finished all my main end of summer /post meet chores in two days.
Now i can actually rest some.
Loaded in and restacked 6 tons of 40lb bags of pellets yesterday,.
Today vaccuumed out the pellet stove flue, scraped, filled and painted all the exterior window sills on the south side of the house, did some minor repairs to our outside front stairs, cut apart the pallets the pellets came on, burned all the railroad ties from the retaining wall i dismantled end of March as well as all the pallets.
Fire was an hours long affair.
Mowed the yard.

Sometimes this shit just hits too close to home.PORTLAND — Ardent leftist and Socialist Rifle Association member Jamie Stoltz was hospitalized after severely damaging her tongue by biting it for an entire day at her local shooting range, hospital staff confirmed.
“The Second Amendment is our most important tool in resisting fascism,” mumbled an incomprehensible Stoltz through a mouthful of bloody gauze. “I love hitting the range, but it can be hard not to chime in when all these guys talk about how Trump is going to be reinstated in August, so I’ve just been biting the hell out of my tongue and excusing myself to use the bathroom a lot.”
“I’ve had to plink away while they talked about ‘the steal,’ QAnon, Joe Biden being a half albino black guy/half alien… after a while, I stopped wearing ear protection so I’d be too deaf to hear anything,” she added.
Stoltz has changed shooting ranges multiple times due to heated arguments with right-leaning patrons.
“I quit my last range after I said Trump passed more gun control than Obama, and they all took turns pistol whipping me,” sputtered a defeated-looking Stoltz. “Now I just blend in. I wear a Ted Nugent shirt, cover my hammer and sickle tattoo, and if I get cornered about politics I just say ‘fuck Democrats’ without explaining it’s for different reasons than them.”
Registered Nurse Mike Leach shared a different theory about the origin of Stoltz’s injury.
“Yeah she bit her tongue pretty bad,” Leach explained. “I asked her if she had just gotten the vaccine, cause I hear the microchips give you seizures, and maybe that’s why she bit it so hard. But when I said that, she started biting it even more. She must have been on bath salts or something. There was blood everywhere and I had to give her a tranquilizer to get her to stop.”
At press time, Stoltz was in an operating room having her tongue permanently detached after having booked her first flight back to her hometown in three years.

Wasn't too bad up here in RI but the playground two doors down from my house was under 4 feet of water this morning. The poor little rideable dinosaur barely had his head poking out. The neighbors across from the park got super flooded though.DCR wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 3:50 pm This shit. (I live in Mamaroneck.)

Makes me wonder how bad it is in LA. Feels like we don't have a great sense cause things are so bad down there news isn't getting out as much as in the NE.

Re: Sup
My apartment itself, no because we’re on the second floor, which is three floors off the ground (parking is above ground but under residences) but our building was within the 14 feet of water. It was a literal lake. Never seen anything like it. One dude needed to be medically evacuated and EMS came in an actual boat. Our cars are totaled. Power coming back by tomorrow afternoon, so things getting back to normal, but it was a night like no other. I got back from the gym at 9:30pm and while it was raining hard, nothing had collected. By 3:30am when we were assisting with the medical evacuation, 14 feet. Fucking crazy. I honestly don’t even understand what exactly “flooded.”Culican wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 5:31 pmDid you get flooded?DCR wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 3:50 pm This shit. (I live in Mamaroneck.)
