My old eyes would love something like this -

I actually would even like that brightest white text in the lower left to be lower contrast.
possibly be that the red shade, or a global text color selection.
Not sure if that's even a thing though.

@Wilhelm I installed the "black" theme. You can choose it in the user control panel under "My board style". The forum itself looks ok, But the Ranking and Training Log pages look weird. Let's test drive this thing and let me know what annoys you the most about it, so I can prioritize what to change first.

Ok, if i could ask for absolutely everything, i'd have the red and the blue switched. (lower contrast overall that way)
All red and forums w/ new entries in blue.
Perhaps as another option since some people will like one or the other.

But that is minor, and this is still awesome.

Since you asked, if my typed and posted text could revert to the dim white like other user's post appear to me, that would be neat.
I have a feeling this may be a lot more work than is fair to ask though.
That's just my perfection list. I am both happy and grateful with things as they are with the current dark theme.

I think the text of unread messages is white. Might be an easy fix.

Before, i felt compelled to clear everythimg i hadn't read.
Now i'm fine leaving stuf that doesn't draw my attention.
This shade of red is fine just sitting there on the dark background.

Liking this more and more.
No changes needed imo.

Also, i always have my F.lux as dimmed as it goes. Not just for nighttime.
