4/25/24

Deadlift 315x15 touch and go.
I was kind of shooting for 20 while allowing myself 1 breath per rep. Gun to my head I think I could achieve that, but it's kind of hard without the gun and I took 2 breaths after 14 so I quit after 15. For your lack of motivation.

Landmine Shrug Row +160x 10, 10, 10

Arnold Press 55x 15, 12, 15
2 weeks in a row I've accidentally taken an extra long rest before my last set on these.

Incline DB Curl 30x 12, 11, 10

Cindy* rounds OT 2:00 x 10, +5 rounds fast;
27:15 total time

*5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats

What's the exercise plan for this bulk (other than vomit-inducing deadlift silliness)?

False- vomiting is not anabolic.

Honestly, I’m not really planning on changing much. I was switching a few movements before deciding to bulk, so that worked out well (incline bench and ssb squats).

I already started more muscly conditioning too- loaded carries and sled work. I’ve always had skinny legs and I’m hoping that stuff helps pack on some leg meat.

Well, your before pic clearly indicates that you know what you're doing...mostly I'm just jealous that the only reason you stopped a set of 20 deadlifts with 315 was because you took two breaths between reps 14 and 15.

Seriously. It looks like a good place to be starting from.

4/26/24

On a running clock;
Farmers Carry, 100#
-60 yards strapped x 4
-30 yards unstrapped x 12 (16:03)
Suitcase Carry, 38#, 60 yards x 4 (4:57)
Waiters Carry, 38#, 60 yards x 2 (2:48)

23:48 total time

I may have done more suitcase and waiters, but I can’t remember now. I need some way to keep track while I’m doing it.

@EricK and @cgeorg thank you for the kind words. I haven’t done a proper bulk in a while- hopefully I don’t end up fat fucking myself.

Incline Bench 185x 10, 10, 12@10

SSB Squat 305x3x8
I was busy talking about something on my poison dart frog forum, which got me curious about my oldest vivarium (10+ years old), so I went and dug through the substrate to check something. This was all after the 2nd set so the 3rd set was all awkward and cold. But now my finger smells like glorious fresh healthy rainforest, so it was worth it. #smellmyfinger

Between the kombucha and this, you’re burnishing a uniquely impressive renaissance man resume.

I say this with all humility (because I’m not very good at all the stuff I dabble in), but you have no idea.

A whole minute faster than last time, and that’s with a pee break. For your public urination.
