Squat:

(80% of 450 e1RM) 360x3rx5s

Bench

(80% of 275 e1RM) 220x3rx5s

Deadlift

(e1RM 475) 425x1 (90%) felt like a 7, then 355x4rx5s (75%)

Curls

80x8x5

This is a pretty brutal workout. I have both the deadlifting and strength squatting from the Montana Method on the same day, 3 days after my hypertrophy day. The reason is to not have to do any of that on my work days, but it ends up being exhausting. I'm thinking of switching it around so this workout is on my first day off... or maybe just switching the deadlifts there.

Working weights based off of e1RM: Squat 450, Bench 275, Deadlift 475

19DEC05

Squat: 275x3, 315x2, 365x1, 405x1x2

Bench: 175x3, 195x2, 215x1, 235x1, 250x1
CGBP: 175x8x3

SGDL: 285x5x4

19DEC07

Squat: 340x4x3 3x5

Bench: 205x4x4 x3x5

Rows: 185x4x7 in 6min

Curls: 65x12x5

I tried adding an extra set of squat, and 2 extra bench sets since I will have an extra day to recover from hypertrophy day compared to the regular Montana Method. I'm also thinking of doing a day or two of bro-ey upper body stuff they day after H and S days. Just high rep arms and shoulder stuff.

19DEC10

Squat: (82% of 450) 370x3x3 x2x3
Deadlift: (80%) 380x3 425x1@7 380x3x4
Bench: (82%) 225x3x6
Curls - barbell - 95x5x5
Tricep extensions: 75x8x5

My e1RM actually feel like they're too low, but I'm just going to bump them up slowly to give me room to progress.

Life - Great, got married to my long time girlfriend. Finished a Masters Degree.

Lifting - Meh. Got up to a 345 Front Squat so that was cool but other than that I am regressing I think.

Cool man, congrats!

Honestly I'm getting the impression I've wasted my twenties (training wise) since everything seems to get harder as I get older... Still there's some strong old guys on this forum, so I maintain hope.

Squat: (e1RM 455) 320x5rx7s - felt like 70% should so I think e1RM is good. I'm going to keep bumping it up every 2 weeks

Bench: (e1RM 280) 180x7x3 6x1 5x2 4x4 - total of 49 reps - This was supposed to be 65%, and I was trying to do sets of 7, but I was close to failing reps after the 3rd set. I don't think my e1RM is off, since the other intensities have seemed right, I think just doing high rep stuff takes some adjustment. I'm going to bump this e1RM up more slowly, and almost do some mini-periodiazations I guess.

Rows: 185x5xrx6s in 7min

barbell curls: 85x8x4

squat 365x3rx5
bench 195x5x7
deadlift 430x1@7 360x4x5

this was rough. We are sleep training my daughter and recovery was not ideal the last few days. I had to skip my accessory stuff.

Missed logging a few days:

19DEC20

Squat up to 405x1x2
SGDL 295x5x4
Bench up to 255x1x2

19DEC24

Squat 345x4x3 3x4
Bench 180x7x4 x6 x5x3 (trying for 65% but I think I'm overestimating my bench 1rm)
Row 185x36r in 7min

19DEC29

Squat up to 415x1 425x1
Press up to 175x1 140x25r
Deadlift 455x1@8

Also a couple of bro sessions. I've been on nights the last couple of weeks and keeping up with the schedule is actually pretty tough... I'm not really able to lift my Day 1 off because I'm sleeping, and eating and recovering enough is tough. I might just have to do light/recovery weeks on my night rotations.

Today:

Squat 325x5x6
Bench 170x7x9
Row 190x5x6
Curl 95x6x4

Coming off nights sucks as being on nights, so I was sort of off track last week and didn't log. I basically got in enough of what I was supposed to on random days.

20JAN09

Squat: 325x5x6s
Bench: 175x7x6s 6x2s 5x3s (11s 69r)
Row: 195x5x4s 4x3s (7x 32r)
Curls: 85c8c4

TODAY

Seated press: 95x8x5s
Chins 34r in 7min
LTE 90x8x4s
Curls 70x10x4s
Plank 45lbs 30sx4
CoC Gripper (can't close it...) 8rx5s of half reps. Might have to buy a lower level to start...

20JAN11

Kind of frustrating today, my hamstrings were so sore and cramped up so bad that I could barely squat and then didn't even try to deadlift. It felt kind of like when I started pushing volume day too far on the Texas Method... I don't want to overreact since I've been pretty inconsistent the last couple of weeks, but I'm wondering if I've overestimated by e1RM... The same weight was fine last week though. I'm going to just keep on trucking and hope it was an anomaly, or a symptom of nights and inconsistency.

Squat: blahhhhhh
Bench: 185x5rx11s
Deadlift: blahhhhhh
Curls: 95x6rx5s
Gripper #1: Can almost close for 1 rep (that happened fast...) then 8rx5s half-reps
