I mean the combo of price and protein content makes me suspicious of fillers. Couldn't easily find any test results for the protein, but the creatine from that brand got an F on Labdoor.

No doubt Body Fortress is spiking their protein. Adding creatine alone will do that.

Not sure why the Body Fortress protein no longer appears on Labdoor. In the past, it had a B rating there. Here's a 2015 thread from Bodybuilding.com where the CEO of Labdoor discusses that particular product:

I've addded just generic keywords to my slickdeals.net alerts.

They are out of the chocolate on this, but 5lbs vanilla for $24 with free shipping

https://www.iherb.com/pr/sierra-fit-whe ... -kg/102116

I've got all year to look for something, but it looks like MyProtein can definitely be undercut now.

MyProtein can go fuck themselves.

Email says 55% off!
And then inside "Here's a code for 50% off!"

Plus they jacked the 11lb bag price up another ten bucks to $189
I've already found one place i can get a better price with just their 20% off site price.

And i have seen one slickdeals code already for this other company.

Do share. Myprotein is starting to annoy me. How about just giving me a decent price instead of paying all of these people for endorsements? Plus, Eddie Hall is going to influence me to NOT buy the product, so quit with the Eddie Hall BS already.

iHerb has this -
https://www.iherb.com/pr/sierra-fit-whe ... -kg/102117

iirc though, you look for isolate.

As is with their 20% off, it's $38.20 for 5lbs and free shipping.
That's better per lb already then 50% off MPs $189 for 11lb bags.
I'm waiting to see if i can get a slickdeals code again for them before fall when i need to restock.

They do have a great 1st time buyer extra 22% off

I didn't mention that i actually wrote to MP to tell them i was flatly insulted by the bait and switch email.
55% in the subject, with actually a 50% off code in the same email.

The answer evaded that and said basically "Sorry, our prices are subject to change."

So with slickdeals.net, you can make alerts for brands or keywords.
I had just MP in there, but i've expanded my alerts to whey. protein, etc...

When the codes happen, you get an email
That's how i got 11lb bags for $45 a few years back.
The frequency of protein codes is way down, but it's still worth setting up an account.

Well, they have corrected the email thing.

Just got another email titled "Our bad, here's 55% off everything"

code PRESVIP

I'm just going to pretend that was because of me calling them out directly.
Still not ordering, as i don't need anything until... wait, i may get a kilo of creatine. free shipping, and that stuff is through the roof price wise now.

55% off their protein can still be beat, especially if i get a slickdeals code before the end of the year.

I am not necessarily stuck on anything, isolate just came with less carbs and I was doing keto. Thanks for the link, my wife tried Slickdeals in the past and couldn't seem to get alerts to come through. Maybe I'll set up my own account and give it a go.

@Hardartery the codes coming through slickdeals have slowed way down, but that's how i even knew iHerb had protein.
Got that code maybe a month ago, but vanilla was all they had, and i wasn't sure i'd like it.
Only every gotten unflavored.

I had just before that bought some fish oil there, but didn't think to look.
Used up my new customer extra 22% off then too.

I know inflation is a problem everywhere, but MyProtein has seen a 40% increase from a little over a year ago. Their pre-discount price of isolate used to be $160 for 11 lbs, and when I checked tonight it had jumped to $225.

Looking to get another order of protein, and apparently price increases are happening everywhere...
Per this articel, whey prices have gone up by 150%-200%, in addition to shipping issues. I don't think it's just MyProtein being shitty (though may also be that), but it in some searching with 40% off MyProtein still looks to be the best price. Less than Bulk Supplements, which I would SWAG is pretty cost effective due to bulk nature, and no additives, just the straight ingredient (my understanding of the business, anyway).

Are those prices before or after the 30-50% discount Myprotein seems to have every month?

Anyway I've pretty much given up on whey. I used to do just coffee and whey for breakfast, a shake at around three and maybe one before bed. However I've found I actually feel better with a real breakfast and a fistful of chicken breast in a sandwich bag in my cooler is more convenient mid day than either carrying a premade shake or powder and a shaker. Cottage cheese or Greek yogurt replaced the one before bed.

Except I've gotten used to a scoop in my coffee as creamer in the morning so an 11 lbs bag lasts most of the year now.

Haha Holy crap. Okay.

Man I remember doing the whole price per protein math years ago and while I don't have the spreadsheet anymore I'm pretty sure walmart chicken breast $1.99/lbs and the at the time $5/lbs Myprotein concentrate were neck and neck per 25g of protein.

Is casein any better/worse than whey? In NZ I can get 5kg of casein for $29 a kilo, compared to whey which is $35 a kilo. Pea is $28 a kilo but I'm not sure if I want to go down that route yet

Can't remember if that discussion took place in this thread or another one, but tl;dr:

Casein is supposedly digested more slowly, hence the popular marketing bit about taking it before bed, but it's no different than whey, beyond how they're extracted from dairy stuff.

If I could get away with having a George Foreman grill at my desk at work, I'd probably say fuck the whole situation and just go with cheap chicken. My tubs are looking a little low and I'm not excited about having to do this price comparison dance again.

MyProtein prices for whey are currently retarded in the UK. A ~100-150% increase since last summer. Luckily still have a 5kg bag though think I'll be shopping around once that's done.

I've basically switched to the ON Gold from Costco, since it's about 30% cheaper than MyProtein's "30% Off" price right now.

Had a gander, no such luck with Costco UK at present. I'll keep an eye on it as ONG and USN stuff is decent.
