I ended up ordering the elite FTS SS bar . I thought about getting the titan one as the price was MUCH better but it had to many mixed reviews. I also have the Titan axle bar and it is kinda shity. The coating is like flaking off and I'm always worried it will hit me in the eye

I think youre guaranteed a good product going that route. I saw a video with Dave Tate and I think he was upset that Titan so blatantly copied their bar.zappey1 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:01 pmI ended up ordering the elite FTS SS bar . Re: Safety Squat Bars
That is Titan's shtick lol. And I love them for it and buy the shit out of lots of their products (plates, power rack, bench) I'm just skeptical about buying bars w/o top notch reviews. I have a few and regret almost everyone.hector wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:20 pmI think youre guaranteed a good product going that route. The SSBv2 copy is one that Titan definitely didn't screw up though... it's a really nice solid bar...zappey1 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:28 pmThat is Titan's shtick lol. I think I saw an IG story last week with @bdminor using the Prime SSB.

Re: Safety Squat Bars
Titan SSBv2 (which now has fancy endcaps) is fantastic for the price. A very nice clone of the Elite FTS bar.

Re: Safety Squat Bars
Got the shipping notification for my Transformer Bar yesterday, a mere 20 weeks from when I ordered it (7/10). When I ordered it said there was a 10 week lead time. Thanks, 2020. The main bottleneck is apparently getting the bars plated which is done by a third party vendor, who is operating at greatly reduced capacity due to COVID restrictions. Oh well, I didn’t lift for most of that time anyway. Since I’ve started back up I’ve been doing SSB exclusively with the Elite FTS bar so I’ll at least have that fresh in my mind when trying out the Kabuki. Hope it’s awesome, but if it’s not I could probably sell it for $1000 considering they’re not even taking orders now...

Re: Safety Squat Bars
Posted too soon... UPS label was printed on 11/25 but it still hasn't shipped as of 12/3. I expected a delay due to Thanksgiving but when it hadn't moved by Tuesday I emailed them. Got this response:
So yeah... I mean, I'm glad they caught it, but...Thank you for reaching out to us here at Kabuki Strength. Our sincerest apologies for the delay you've experienced in receiving your Transformer Bar as our Shipping Department was boxing your bar and noticed the weld on your sleeve was not to our standards for shipment. I apologize profusely for this delay as we are receiving the next batch of sleeves from our plating company later this week, with your bar shipping immediately afterward.

I’m guessing I’m never going to see this bar.Cleverusername wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 6:13 pm I’ve been emailing back and forth with Crepinsek.

I’m on the list for a 700 takedown version. Hopefully this will save me some money on shipping.

Was the 700# version actually a released product, or more of a pre-order type of thing?

I am 0-4 for "lists" currently (pre-orders, etc.)Cleverusername wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 6:17 pmI’m guessing I’m never going to see this bar.Cleverusername wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 6:13 pm I’ve been emailing back and forth with Crepinsek.

I got on the notification list for one of those barspeed tracker thingies (that you couldn't get your hands on 2+ years ago),
and never heard back.
I was on the email notification for a new AR15 lower. I see now that those came out on the market now, I never got an email.
Most of the versions/grades are sold out now.
I have two or three into Rogue for shit that's sold out. I won't be surprised if I never hear back.

Re: Safety Squat Bars
I’m pretty sure the 700# was already released. He was working on a 700# takedown model to save on shipping/ be portable.murphyreedus wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 5:56 am Was the 700# version actually a released product, or more of a pre-order type of thing?

But, yeah, it’s crazy out there for lots of stuff. Especially gun or fitness items.

Re: Safety Squat Bars
Sorry for necro'ing an older thread.
Anyone bought one from Europe, maybe from Italy? No one in my country (Malta) sells SSBs, and so I'm trying to find one from abroad where the shipping doesn't cost as much as the equipment itself.

Re: Safety Squat Bars
Can you access ATX brand stuff? They seem to have an okay reputation and make what looks to be a decent SSB.

Hey, thanks for this man! On the official website I found a a Maltese reseller and the website is "coming soon". I've subscribed to it so I get notified when the website is launched. Cheers!

For those of you with the Titan SSB, does it balance hands free? Was curious about Hatfield squats and saw a few reviews mention the EliteFTS SSB balances better.

I use an EliteFTS at my small work gym and the TitanSSB at my home gym. Both work fine for Hatfields. Elite might be a bit better.
