His last total was 2200 lbs or a tad over IIRC.Hardartery wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 9:50 am The reps got deeper as he progressed. Dang. I don't care what he was wearing, that's pretty good.
Side note, Mark Phillippi did 600 x 19 screwing around in training with Binkowski back in the day. They were working out and decided to see how many they could get with 600 on a lark.
I spoke to him about it in person at a contest. He was surprised that it had attracted so much attention at the time. For a while Ed Coan, John Binkowski and Mark Phillippi were all training together. Phillippi was a coach with UNLV at the time. Imagine being a student there and being able to be around that trio.MarkKO wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 2:56 amHis last total was 2200 lbs or a tad over IIRC.Hardartery wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 9:50 am The reps got deeper as he progressed. I don't recall hearing about the Philippi thing, but I know of him a little and it tracks.
