I heard a rumor early on about Europe as well.
Time will tell.

Re: USAPL expansion
It seems that USAPL's world domination plan has come to a halt here in China. The USAPL China organisation has become a separate entity from the USAPL after just one competition with around 30 lifters, and is now known as China Powerlifting. Largely due to rules and regulations relating to operation of foreign-owned businesses in China. Not a good idea to operate a company whose name starts with "United States of America...." here in China.
I feel they could have stayed together, or just had USAPL somewhere in the name.... but im guessing that doesnt fit the brand name and its not worth the fuss for USAPL to go through. However the notice says that comp results and records will still be posted to the USAPL website, so perhaps it isnt a total split?
EDIT: seems they are still partners with USAPL in some capacity. So, who knows.
