have you guys thought of using teespring? You upload the design and then users can select T shirt style, cut, size, colour material etc.
I have no idea whether this works financially, but it solves the problem of carrying stock and offering mens and womens cuts

Yes, I think. But slow going because everything we do on this site (whether it's shirts or upgrades) is on a volunteer basis.
