I don't know if there is anything to read into it or takeaways either party can really hang their hats on. But the media is going to media. My only take away, which I think is promising for American politics in general, is that the Republican candidate ran on his own merits without paying fealty to Trump.jwilson625 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:19 pmIn VA specifically I believe the opposition party winning the governorship has happened for the past 8 new presidents

Biden's decreased popularity crosses across race/ethnic lines in VA. Wouldn't label the result white supremacy.BostonRugger wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 5:33 am VA and NJ - referendum on Biden? Just horrendous messaging from Big D? White supremacy?

This isn't Biden, but has to do with Politics. Chris Cuomo lost his job now too.

I just don't understand who likes these guys, and how Andrew kept getting elected. I mean, except for the wild divisiveness of politics after Obama was elected. I'm guessing the R challenger was some raving lunatic(for NY standards), which is what's happening down here in the city. For god's sake, let's not run crazy cat man "subway angel" that made up shit in the 80s to look like a hero. Could I get some reasonable "conservative" or is that not allowed today?

I'm convinced NYS just hates itself that much.hsilman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 5:07 amI just don't understand who likes these guys, and how Andrew kept getting elected. I honestly don't remember Marc Molinaro in 2018, and while I haven't voted since 2016 it should speak to that dude's campaign that for as much as I completely loathe Andy I don't even remember any ads running against him.
The last time I actually voted against him was in 2014 when Astorino ran, and he wasn't exactly a raving lunatic. I vividly remember King Andy running an ad against him here that actually included pictures of him wearing Miami Dolphins gear. I also vividly remember it actually affecting people's opinions.
So there's that...

It seems the threshold for being permanently fired from CNN is incredibly high.

That he regularly bodied corporate journalists was my favorite thing about Trump (“I’m the president of The United States and you’re fake news”). Now it’s my favorite thing about Biden too.

When asked, Doocy responded "Yeah, nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it's not true,"

Sounds like they (Biden and Doocy) are known for testy but generally good-natured exchanges.augeleven wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 11:13 am When asked, Doocy responded "Yeah, nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it's not true,"

The original Star Trek was a weird as show. Pitch: Let's have a show set on a spaceship in the future. Also, randomly spend half the time doing storylines from the 1930's, 40's, and 50's. Must have been some strong drugs in the writers' room.

I have a hard time keeping up with what the "f your feelings" crowd is getting their undies in a bunch about on any given day. I thought they were painting Biden as a senile old man. Now he's Sheev Palpatine?
