Yo Cabinet of Curiosities seems like it's gonna deliver just based on the first episode...

Not perfect by any stretch but it delivers far better than most other horror flavored stuff we've seen...

Speaking of...

New AHS... did they finally just ditch the 'horror' and admit they just wanted to make a show about gay dudes doing ridiculous over the top gay stuff?

Re: AHS
I couldn’t get into the last season. I’m not sure if I’m going to try to watch this one. Club scene stuff has zero interest to me. I liked the 1984 and the apocalypse one.
Maybe I’ll wait and binge them all in November.

Looking ahead at the episode titles seems like they are pulling on Lovecraft, so I'm hooked

Yeah, this is scratching me right where I'm itchy. I love stand alone episodic horror/thriller.

Having only seen the first episode, it could have used another 15-30min. Otherwise I really liked it.

Yeah… 2 was super lame. I actually liked 3 more than 1, but so far I’m not loving any of it as much as I was hoping.

And where 1 could’ve used more time, 4 should’ve been half as long (and no one loves exploring the horrors of consumerism and conformity more than me).

I really liked the puppet work in 2, just the acting reminded me too much of bad improv

I'm totally on board with a show or movie making me dislike the main character, but when I feel like I'm disliking the actor vs the character it ruins the immersion.

This is on Amazon:

Worth every minute.

The Peripheral on Amazon is decent. Biggest problem is uneven acting skills across the cast. This trend has been increasing with the creep of television shows on streaming services.

+1 for Cabinet of Curiosities.

Lord knows why it's rated an 18 in the UK though as a fan of Pan's Labyrinth I'm enjoying this show.

The first episode could have been a longer, the ending didn't even remotely do the build up justice.

Well, Pickman's Model (episode 5) starts off with boobs.
Made it about 45min into it before I had to go to bed, but it has been the best one so far.

Finished. Easily the best one so far.

Most of the way through episode 1. I like it.

Good point about uneven acting skills.

Cabinet of Curiosities overall has been a bummer. Watch Pickman's Model, the first episode (storage unit one), the lotion episode (4?), and skip the rest. The Viewing was terrible, worst one so far. I'll probably still watch the final episode.

Andor though has been my favorite thing on TV in a while.

Started watching Santa Clarita Diet last night (zombies, real estate, Barrymore, Olyphant); looks promising. Sample sentence from plot summaries in Wikipedia: "She tells them her new attitude is due to her new high-protein diet."

Is season 6 of Animal Kingdom available free anywhere yet? I'm rapidly closing in.

I enjoyed this show. It suffered from the Netflix cancel curse. But I think there are 2 good seasons. Enjoy.
