Had some family emergency stuff happen. Big stress, little sleep. Left pec has been tight and wont' loosen up.

Done on Sat Mar 31 instead

Sometime in the last few weeks I signed up for the Starting Strength meet at the end of April. You'll notice that the month leading into the meet was a crapfest.

Low back/si pain still.

switched programming to 2x3 from 1x5
355x1, back off to 225 x5
Rep 2, specific pain in the right side lower back / SI area. Walked around, DL'd empty bar, then tried 315, no go, backed to 225 for five. Couple hours later, hip flexor on right is tight, and that SI point is pretty warm and 4-5 pain.

Cool day today. I traveled to Atlanta for a work conference. Found out that one of the places my company would book me to stay ot (nowhere anywhere near downtown ATL) was by Atlanta Barbell. So i trained there, the morning after traveling and not sleeping much, but still. Met Alex the owner. Tried to buy a t-shirt but they didn't have any XLs. I took a selfie in front of their giant wall logo.

No training. Had to drive to central Montana for a family funeral. COuldn't find a crossfit box that did drop-ins, or a fitness gym with a rack.

Coach provided meet numbers. I was disappointed with my DL targets, but given the last month, that was understandable. To be continued.

No chins, no rows. Got called into a meeting with my VP and had to leave early.

In the afternoon, hit the inside-the-office-building gym with cable machines everywhere, and dumbbells and kettle bells.
Dumbbells to 80lb, kettlebells less . I did 80 5x5 because 3x5 wasn’t enough . 15 min on c2 after since I’m already here :)

Meet numbers included warmups, then openers, then A and B ranges for attempts, depending how I felt after the previous lift. I was very happy with . my results, even if I was DFL for guys over 40. I didn't break my shoulder this year; I went 9 for 9; I beat last year's squat number and press was in the same range, and DL I got to actually do.

Final numbers:
Squat 138kg (top end of my range)
OHP 69kg, ditto
DL 168kg, middle of my A range
