Re: Still on the Right Side of the Grass
...aaaaaaannnnnd, we're done with the radiation!
Now to put back on the weight I've lost, and find some way to regain the strength in these 'rona times.
I crackin' open a bottle of LaPhraoig Select tonight...first drink since this whole circus started back in November / December.

Thank you, one and all.
The Select was very nice. Didn't take much to put me on my ass #lightweight

Livin' in the 'rona times reps/sets
Pike Push Ups - 10*10
BSS - 70lbs 10*5
I-Y-T - 5lbs each 10*3
3 mile walk
Yes that's right, I've got some weights...or should I say plates: 2*35lbs, 2*5lbs. it ain't much, but it's better than nothing.
Got a little more distance in today without any intestinal issues, the recovery continues...

Livin' in the 'rona times reps/sets
Press - 35lbs 20*5
Tri Press - 35lbs 20*5
Goblet Squat - 35lbs 12*10
3 mile walk...
Just doin' what I can, with what I've got. The walking is a great mood enhancer now that the weather is accommodating.
Gotta be honest, now that I'm done with all the cancer treatments, I'm kinda lost at sea.
Aaaannnnnd, I feel worse today than when everything ended: certain bodily functions are not easy or pain free at the moment. The docs hint at this stuff, but never come right out and tell you that you're gonna be really uncomfortable for a few weeks...

Re: Still on the Right Side of the Grass
5/1/20
Livin' in the 'rona times reps/sets
Squat Holds/Tempo Squats - 35lbs 20 sec / 10*5 4-0-0
Tempo Press - 35lbs 10*5 4-0-4
Straight Arm Planks - 60 sec *5
Picked up a metronome app to keep me honest on the Tempo work.
Had to roll into the docs today, the post radiation issues have gotten obnoxious. Unfortunately the prescriptions they handed me are not available anywhere in WNY till Monday...even they didn't have the items in stock. FML
Tempo work...lovin' it (lie, lie, lie)

Re: Still on the Right Side of the Grass
5/4/20
Livin' in the 'rona times reps/sets
Tempo LTE - 35lbs 10*5 5-0-5
Tempo Floor Press - 70lbs 5*5 5-0-0
Tempo Overhead Squat to Box - 35lbs 5*5 4-0-4
Side Planks - 30sec *5
Felt frisky enough on Saturday to do some interval work on a 2 mile circuit, and then got another couple miles of walking in after that was finished Perhaps a little ambitious in hindsight. I've got wicked DOMS...oh my lord.

Re: Still on the Right Side of the Grass
Howdy Folks,
With the site being down, I haven't checked in for a while (obviously).
Still doing house arrest training. With the weather finally turning, I'm getting in more mileage on my walks, as well as more walks each week.
The only issue is that I feel like I'm going backwards - everything is really hard at the moment, harder than it should be given the weights and routine I'm doing.
I can only attribute it to accumulated stressors finally showing themselves after this past 6 months.
Hopefully we can turn this ship around.

Re: Still on the Right Side of the Grass
I have no house arrest lifting to log...because I moved into a new apartment over the weekend. I'm finally unpacked and somewhat squared away.
I averaged about 8k steps and 20 floors climbed Saturday and Sunday. Everything hurts, especially my Achilles tendons, and spinal erectors.
Today I walked the neighborhood. I hope to get a lift in tomorrow.

@slowmotion @JohnHelton
Thanks gents!
Not much to report, lot's of walking. I got in about 7 miles today, along with some chin ups/pull ups/dips at a parkour station in the park where I walk. Some enterprising folks tore down the snow fence that blocked it off during the Whu Flu, so I ducked in to get a few mediocre sets in. Of course the 5-0 drove by and gave me the stink eye, but nothing more than that.
I'm still fatiguing extremely quickly these days, so I had the folks who handled my cancer treatments dial up some blood tests to see what's going on: complete blood panel, metabolic panel, and testosterone panel. Results should be in by Monday, and I'll have Austin and the team at Roswell evaluate the numbers.
