My buddy brought over some chicken breasts the other day and we made chicken parm. They were also enormous, like turkey breasts.
I assume the chickens are roided out beyond belief.

I think the meat-breed chickens must be artificially incubated. The hens are too heavy to safely sit on their own eggs.

Commercial meat birds live only about 8 weeks. I’d bet a lot of money they never lay eggs while “in production”.
