I usually loosen the BFR bands about .25" after a set or two, reasoning that once the swelling starts they are too tight. Decided that is against the spirit of using them, kept it tight, and it was brutal. So brutal. Curls were fine, those I actually have a reasonable weight selection.

DCR wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2024 9:14 am Welcome to left adductor hell. Been here for a minute. My strain/knot is too high up to reasonably ask anyone to massage it, and although I do plan to buy a massage gun, I need to wait because I'm heading back down south in a week and a half and I don't want to order it here and then have one more thing to fit in my already overstuffed suitcase. What I have done is take a hard, beveled foam roller, put in on my chair, and sit on it, sorta sideways to get the adductor directly on top of it, with all my weight on the sore area. It definitely has helped.
Felt good last week, today feels right on the verge of impacting my session but I'm surviving. Mine is probably at least somewhat psychological, I just don't really want to deadlift any more.

My best bet is probably switching to something silly like high bar squats with chains and focus more on quads. That, or try and maintain reasonable RPE for squat sessions in particular. Or... Buy a trap bar?

Another day, another 128mg of caffeine. I should get a tub of pre for deadlift days.

Thursdays are hard for me- it's not unusual for me to have the kids alone Mon/Tues, then We'd I take them alone to swim, and then have them alone again Thurs. Blew up yesterday when, after 2+ solid hours of hearing them fighting, the big one knocked over the little one (who was home sick yesterday) to race to the bathroom and wash hands for dinner. Not proud of myself.

Parenting is definitely the hardest job ever. Generally speaking, if a person cares about doing that job well their kids are probably going to be just fine.

I mentioned this before, but the best way to get my HR up was a temper tantrum. Echo never even came close.

Got a new case, Mobo, CPU, PSU. Thought "hey, ez, just plug in my old hard drives and everything will take care of itself."

Currently downloading Windows 11 to a USB, bought a key, hopefully I can boot from the USB, install windows all fresh and clean. Copied (I think) the games I plan to keep playing from my SSD where I will install windows onto the HDD, will give this a try. Having an issue with the Secure Boot?

It’s funny how you get used to folks’ patterns even on a niche bulletin board. I was like wtf an evening post from Allentown?
