So I'm going to try idlehands' CoC 10-day program outline up in Programming. I'll probably not do it consecutive days, though? I also forgot I was thinking of testing my Farmer's Carry tonight, so I might test prowler instead?
I'm going to give it a shot too. I think I'll do it consecutively though since I want to get through it and see if it works rather than spending three weeks and finding out that it didn't. If I start getting tendinitis or something then I guess I'll back off.
I guess I could do it consecutively, and just skip whatever day I actually get around to going after a 1RM farmer carry. I also don't super feel like bringing them home from work with me every weekend, so it might just be weekdays.

Do you have extension bands? I hear they help with the 'nitis. I'll be using them at least twice a week.
Ok fine. I ordered them. Seems expensive for a bunch of rubber bands but people in the Amazon reviews seem to think it helps. Maybe it will do something for my left elbow. If I hold my left arm locked out, I can't even close the trainer.

2 min rest between all sets, unless the kid was too fussy. Had a diaper change between sets, passed him to the SIL for a bottle during the rows and first set of CGBP, then back out in the garage and needing to be held between sets. RPE for last set/rep. Only woke up twice last night. Still have a cough, ears 75% unplugged? Going on two weeks with this cold now, it sucks. Improved on the number of reps from last time I pressed by 2 (+1 each on first and last sets) and got 48 reps @155 CGBP vs 50 @145 last time.

Moved my feet in a little with FS, they seemed to be better than last time. Then I decided that, although the kid was getting hungry & grumpy, I could do a quick set of 315x5 deadlifts. Turns out, I shouldn't have done that. This sucks.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Programming was Top double, 8x4(AMRAP) cycling from 75-85%. Was at 515 or 525x2 for my top set, then totally failed the next top set. Top set after that I decided to re-try 525 or 535, and on my final warmup @ 495 felt a pop in my lower back, left side, instant pain. Never crippling, but more than enough to stop me short. Instantly jumped into 20-rep set "Starr rehab" protocol, but took something like 10lb jumps and started trying to get into 20-rep PRs. Back was still hurting, and barely made it through 5 reps when I got over 225, so I tried a front squat, and it didn't hurt. All the while I either totally avoided deadlifts, or would do a rep or two with 135 or 225.
Yesterday, I decided I should do 315, entirely so I could say I can deadlift more than Mikeylikey. Same pop on rep 4, where you see that little hitch in my pull video.

Needs more stains on the long johns. But otherwise, an awesome sticker. If I wasn't still convinced I was going to sell my rusting, busted-ass car, I'd totally put that in the window.

No joke, I want to be Fat Mac for Halloween. Letting the beard grow, all my wife-beaters are already too small anyways, get a trash bag of chimmichangas... I think the kid is going to be a narwhal, though, so I might have to be a whale or some other sort of undersea creature. Family costumes are a thing now.

Probably nothing else tonight, unless I do it after dinner. Going downtown with a friend couple who have a kid 10 days older than ours to do a little Art Prize stuff.

Got the first 5 sets in during a nap. BW@235. Back felt alright, not sad that I skipped conditioning yesterday with the temps in the high 90s, heat index above 110. Almost the same temp today, so I wanted to get through it before 2.

I picked up Dead of Winter: The Long Night and Letters From Whitechapel today. Looking forward to seeing how TLN compares to the base game(other group member has it, so I don't feel this overlaps too bad).

You still getting any time to game?

Hahahahahahahahaha
Oh wait.
Of my "regular" group, the guy most local to me also had a kid 10 days before we did. My cousin got a girlfriend who loves beer and boardgames, and now won't talk to me even when they drive an hour into my city to go to breweries. My college buddy's alcoholic brother is trying to kill himself, his dad had a stroke, and his mom broke her foot. Another local guy is annoying as shit so he is only invited over if someone else will also be there.

So, sadly, very little. I did really like Dead of Winter, though.

Not too bad. Back felt fine- I was actually super nervous it was just going to explode on reps 3-5 of every squat set, but it never did. It was... rather warm outside.
