Just slow and flat today. I'm going to blame the BulkSupplement caffeine pills, and pretend they are just sugar. Eggnog instead of coffee and milk in my protein this AM.

Failed a 325 squat in Aug, so I guess things are going well here, unlike bench...
3yo woke up at 2:30 coughing, so taking the day off with him today.

Saying "used to" felt so much like the "benched 3 plates in HS" reply everyone gives after asking if you lift. Must not become that which you hate.

I’ve often wondered about the statute of limitations on lift numbers. A kid recently asked me how much I benched, and I told him a number from this spring, even though I don’t think I could hit that now.

It feels good to get that off my chest.

Tired. Only squat sets that felt good were #3 & 4, when Rip and Tear came on.

3yo decided to take off his cloths and diaper and pee on the bed at 9:30 last night, I came into his room and he said "look, I peed, that's funny!"

I've also decided that instead of picking up after other people, I'm just going to get rid of things. I spend around half my non-work hours, and a significant portion of my work hours, just cleaning up after other people in my house. And after finding out my keys didn't get put away after we got home Sunday and were no where to be found, I'm just done.

This is where I’m at with my girlfriend’s kids, who are young but old enough to know when they’ve left a mess, but don’t gaf because they expect everyone to clean up after them. They were trained to believe that. I would never throw out anything actually important to them because I’m not a total heel, but most messes, regardless of what items/materials make up the mess, now go in the trash. I’ve got no time for it.

Low pulley kinda busted or something, horrible squeaking sound and super wobbly. Added some 3-in-1 which helped a little, but I'll probably just swap that out next week.

Shortly after I finished pleading with my 6yo to help keep the house clean, he went to put his shoes on in the kitchen, noticed it was full of sand, and proceeded to dump it on the kitchen floor.

I always picture Calvin hammering nails into a coffee table in these times.

Inspired to keep things below an RPE 9 by listening to the BBM podcast during the 4 hours of driving I did for a meeting yesterday. Expect to put 100lbs on my bench in 3 weeks.

Oh shit. Drained.

Finally committed the ultimate mistake while cutting chillies. Not super spicy ones, just some dried Thai chillies for some pork bowl I was making for a late lunch while starving.

Even so, the pain was at least 2x worse than anything during or after the vasectomy. The burning started partway through a match of MechWarrior Online I was trying to wrap up before a meeting with my boss I had to squeeze in before picking up one kid and blasting to daycare before they closed for the holiday party. Didn't want to just AFK so I fought through it, died, ran upstairs to try and wash, found out hot water made it hurt even worse, died again, got re-dressed, ran downstairs, made it to my computer 1 minute late but boss was 2 minutes late, and the pain finally started subsiding.

Been there done that, though I had washed my hands pretty thoroughly so most of the capsaicin was gone. It's crazy how long that stuff lingers, and how much more sensitive some skin is than palm/finger skin.
