Any tricks to getting a good valsalva with the front squat? I can get a good one before unracking it, but if I take a breath in between reps, it feels like a huge weight is literally compressing my chest.
I tried just keeping the same breath through all the reps, but I have a hard time with 5 or more reps...

Try to shrug the shoulders up a bit to elevate the bar so it's not crushing you as much, and possibly tuck the chin back a bit. Though once you're getting past 5 reps it definitely gets tougher to maintain that shoulder elevation.
