Creatine question?

What's a carb? A car part? What's a macro? A type of camera lens?

Relevant:

Interesting:

My n=1, having taken 5g creatine/day for ~2 years, is that I've seen no adverse effects or tangible benefits. I wouldn't sweat not taking it if your parents would rather you don't; there are much more relevant things (quantity and quality of protein intake) that you can control, supplementation (barring AAS use) seems only to yield marginal benefits in most people.

Well I don't know, I will think about, because as you say there are more important things to think about it, such as sleep and nutrition, I think that I need to focus more on those before thinking on supplements.
Thank you sir.

@Sergio07, fellow contributor @Insectoid is in a similar demographic as you are. Check out his log as a good reference also.

The American Academy of Pediatrics
Is a group of the same sort of beefwits that pushed the discredited Food Pyramid for decades, that are heavily incentivized to come up with "worrying" results for things like this to garner attention and therefore dimes. They basically admit they don't know what the fuck they're talking about, but still manage to conclude that creatine for adolescents is "troubling" because fear mongering = money, because Concerned Mothers are the most gullible bunch of hysterical dipshits on the face of the earth.

From that link:
Until the safety of creatine can be established in adolescents, the use of this product should be discouraged.
I'd like to retract what I said in the "Descent Only Squats" thread where I said that not having a reason to NOT do something being a reason to do it is the stupidest thing ever. It's the second stupidest. The stupidest thing is using a lack of proof that something isn't actively bad as a reason to not do it.

Imagine if people made every fucking decision like that. "Well, I can't find a study that says it's not dangerous to bathe regularly. Better stop doing that!"

I have no idea what the effects of creatine on a high schooler are, but given that that study says loads of them take the stuff, and apparently none of them have died from it yet, AND that WADA hasn't yet gotten a hair across their narrow ass over it, it's probably not that big of a deal either way.

Yeah.

AHA can go fuck themselves as well.
I found the initial question interesting (and specifed so) in the context of someone still developing.
I just never considered it from that angle before.

I definitely mentioned a few times that they offered no evidence supporting their position.
I'm still interested if Jordan has any view on this other than the "so many teens already use it, and it seems fine" view that seems to make sense in light of all the studies done on post teen subjects.

@Wilhelm @DirtyRed , thanks for the explanation, it clearly seems that creatine it's perfectly okay for teens, and it doesn't make any sense to ban or neglect it to teenagers, also after reading some articles and watching some videos I found that creatine it's pretty good supplement, it really supplement not like other bullsh*t "supplements".
Thanks
