Re: Instagram
lol, 2 yrs ago you could only upload a 10sec clip, so everyone posted in super fast forward modeMugaaz wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:45 pm Serious question. Why the fuck do people use instagram for videos? You can't move the video forward or back, you can't adjust playback speed, you can't adjust volume. It seems like absolute dog shit. I have to turn off my PC's volume before watching any instagram video. Why do you guys use instagram for video? I understand why people use it for photos, but the video aspect of it just seems awful.
THAT, I could not understand, but started to use it for the social aspect
Now you can upload longer clips, it makes more sense
I do wish you could pause and skip.. I hate when people don't trim their vids

Vine, Snapchat, and others were ~7 seconds. With 15, you could upload a PR lift. It worked really well for that and was much easier to use and browse than Facebook.
It’s nice having a minute now and multiple frames, but I have to give IG credit for having double the availability 2-3 years ago.

Do you let your clients squat high or is this a result of a weird camera angle?KyleSchuant wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 12:49 am I finally got an instagram account.

Re: Instagram
The still pictures are taken on my crappy mobile phone camera, between pressing the button and the picture being taken is a delay, so I rarely manage to catch them at the bottom. The videos there, one is a novice so depth is inconsistent rep to rep and set to set, which we're working on, and the other two squat videos, they squat very much below parallel, so... *shrug*.
When we go to GPC meets I'm sometimes asked why I make my lifters squat so deep, "if they went shallower and wore knee wraps they could lift more."
I can use a better camera and make a compilation of side views if you wish. But...

Re: Instagram
Well, I am not one of your potential clients and don't know if your people even care about powerlifting-legal squats. But given that video is a visual medium and that we are talking about your business account it might be worth the extra effort to take a couple extra steps and film your clients from a somewhat more favourable angle. Having lifters that do squat to depth in competition might not be all that useful if you can't see any of that on your business account.KyleSchuant wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 4:50 pmI can use a better camera and make a compilation of side views if you wish.
