Mike's “I don’t really feel like lifting weights now “ Log

Hi, my name is Mike. I am 44 years old, 200 lbs. All time 1 rep PR's are 405 lb squat (probably high) 430 lb DL, 270 lb bench, and 167.5 lb press. I'm glad I found this forum, as I had been wondering where a lot of the intelligent, thoughtful discussions had gone on the SS forum. I have been using some BB Medicine templates with pretty good success the past year or so. I contacted John a few days ago though, as his methods seem very intriguing and promising to me, and figured I'd keep my training log here. I'm very excited to get started.

Is your CG bench one set of 14 or a bunch of singles or just "get 14 reps however you can"?

Hi brkriete. It’s one AMRAP set, and I’m trying to leave a rep or two in the tank.

Hope you are enjoying the Montana Method Mike. I've just finished my first month with Hanley and it's been great. I'm sure you'll see some solid results. Look forward to following along especially as we are the same age and my numbers aren't too wildly different.

Hey Mike - A bunch of us who are working with Hanley have started discussing it down in the Coaching sub-forum. You should swing by and say hi! I'd be happy to add you to the list of active guinea pigs (see post #145 in the thread).
