I’m nervous to leave them in the car in my own driveway for a minute thanks to righteous neighbors and whatnot.
Yeah, even though I knew they were fine and I was away for so little time, I could just see a nosy passerby or cop stroll on by while I was less than 40 feet away. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely a line that some parents cross with respect to stuff like that, but it seems more... crazy? histrionic? nowadays when it comes to kids. I can remember being left in the car for a while and no one made a big deal about it. Maybe it's just the rate of exposure now with 24 hour news and social media.

I'm just glad I wasn't a kid/teen/young adult during the past 10 years.

Same- Nap time has been moved to after lunch. So one Saturday while the wife was working I took the kiddo to the coffee roaster, then Costco, and we had a few things left to pick up at the regular store. Get there at 11, kid is passed out. Get kiddo out of the car, thinking "He'll just wake up when I get him out." Nope. Dead weight, floppy limbs and head. "OK, I'll put him back and try again in 10 minutes." Still totally out. "Fine, lets go home, and come back this evening when the wife gets home. I might get him into his crib and get to play some video games!" Kiddo sleeps all the way home. All the way inside. All the way up to the room. Sleeps through putting him in the sleep sack. Asleep getting into the crib. I get downstairs, get the computer on, start playing a game, kiddo starts crying.

Starting a new cycle of MM using @Hanley's newly published 2-week template and @Ryaan's Google spreadsheet. Thanks to both of you!

I finished the last cycle of training with newly tested 1rm's of 405 for squat and deadlift and 225 for bench, and I'm excited to see where they'll go after a few weeks of this cycle.
Glad it's useful to someone other than me! I started a new cycle of MM yesterday, too. I'm well behind you in weights (295 lb squat e1rm, 175 lb bench e1rm, 340 lb deadlift e1rm), but I'm psyched to see how this new template works. The workouts are a lot more manageable than any intermediate programming I've done before. Got W1D1 done in just about an hour.

Congrats on the 405 pull!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm liking the MM as well, and I'll do it for as long as I can see progress. Good luck with your training! You're in a good place to get feedback and ask questions.

Oh man, the DOMS were furreal today. My left bicep got a little tingly on the last power bench reps, but it's okay. Never done CGBP before, and I fatigued pretty hard on the last set. Deadlift was good today.

Oh, and I'd like to thank @AlanThrall for this video.

Suppose that whenever I see someone doing something stupid in the gym I walk up to them and say, "Hey, can I record you doing that so I can make fun of you on the internet.", then do you think they'll stop doing that stupid thing or be offended. I can't decide. No, probably offended. Should I ask them anyway?

Yes, I've still been eating, but I'm losing the motivation needed to log the food everyday. It seems easier on days I train, but for several weekends now, we're doing stuff out of town or all day, which really hampers the logging in to log food. I may try logging from my phone. We'll see.

Unless it's dangerous to others, I am generally happy they are at least there and putting in some work. It might not be optimal, or it even might not be very useful. Then I will probably mention it in the gym thread here.

Yeah, that was mostly tongue-in-cheek...mostly. I know I used to do some silly bullshit myself, but thankfully, that was before cell phone cameras were everywhere! The inspiration for that question was a dude that wanted to do calf raises inside the power rack; however, the aerobic step he wanted to use to elevate himself was too wide to fit in the rack. Okay, so he set it up outside the rack as close to the uprights as it would go, but the feet of the rack kept the step several inches away from the posts. To unrack the bar, he stood on the aerobic step and leaned well forward of mid-foot. Oh, and I'm not sure how much was on the bar, but it was certainly much less than what he could have set up on the plate loadable calf raise machine.

My daughter pooped in her potty for the first time today!! She was so excited about it that she came running into her room to tell us and fell headfirst into the dresser/changing table in there. Now there's a big knot on her forehead... #dontcalldfacs

This weekend while camping, my son learned he could reliably pee on a tree standing up. It was like he discovered plutonium.. every time he had to pee he came to get me so I could watch and marvel at his tree pissing technique.
