Yeah, even though I knew they were fine and I was away for so little time, I could just see a nosy passerby or cop stroll on by while I was less than 40 feet away. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely a line that some parents cross with respect to stuff like that, but it seems more... crazy? histrionic? nowadays when it comes to kids. I can remember being left in the car for a while and no one made a big deal about it. I’m nervous to leave them in the car in my own driveway for a minute thanks to righteous neighbors and whatnot.
I'm just glad I wasn't a kid/teen/young adult during the past 10 years.
