I may have to give that a go in the next year or two if I can arrange it. My overhead has always sucked (My Achilles heel in competing), and I don't have a log (I do technically own one, but my former training partner is currently babysitting it along with some other equipment) but this really looks like fun. And the idea of a Max Stone at US event as well seems pretty cool.
Max Stone would be sweet depending on what the promoter has available for stones.

I will say if I never see Last Man Standing stones in a contest again I'm cool with it. Soooooo much standing around if you're in the HW's and if there's like 60-70 athletes...

That was always the problem with max events. They're fine at WSM where there are maximum 10 gys to deal with, but brutal at regular contests. You get cold before you get your next attempt. That's what got me away from training for max for a long time, it was always for reps at contests so we worried about getting a lot of reps with a weight. Now I don't care so I'm going to see how high I can push my DL anyway. It would just work out nice if I can jump in at one of those contests. Bonus being that I'm way onver the line for Masters now so I get to pull against old guys. Even if Big Z is one of them.

If anyone saw Alan Thrall's IG today we have the first confirmed evidence of the long rumored BBM strongman template...

If anyone is bored this Saturday and wants to watch some strongman 315 Strong will be live streaming the Revolution Team Challenge from Syracuse on their Twitch channel around 10 AM est... overhead medley, deadlift medley, keg carry medley, and a sled drag from hell... if you see a skinny dude in a shirt that has "MOUSE" on the back I'm not saying it isn't me...

Twitch.tv/315strong is their channel

I have been blessed with the task of carrying the 325 keg so I'll probably need some...

Your Log Press was nice and smooth, I managed to see that so far.

This is a weird contest, I'm kinda catching it in bits so I may be missing key features, but the whole waiting for your turn for each rep is unusual. The Ref is rocking the pink shorts though.

Congrats on your team getting second place Mouse. I think. The fourth member was out of the view of the camera at awards, and I think that was you.

Good job on being first losers. (I am speeding through the saved videos on twitch, your team did good - congrats.)

Hahaha that's awesome you guys tuned in, and @ Hardartery yeah this was the first full fledged team contest Jamie (promoter) did so he was just looking for ways to make it a little more challenging/strategic... hence how my dude Andy's team had to take a zero on the deadlift because the dude on the 13" couldn't get the rep... 1 'rep' was only after everyone got a rep...

I dropped a 5 minute first impression of Alan/BBM's strongman template in the "Experiences with BBM" thread in training if anyone wants to chat...

I'm halfway through the podcast and figured I'd check out the free simpler version Alan mentioned in his video. I thought about buying it, but I figured like a lot of BBM stuff, the volume would be kinda crazy.

Actually I don't think it's all thaaaaat bad, when volume is at its highest you're looking at 5x5, 5-6x4, and 8x4 with some supersets and then your carrys/loads... som singles sprinkled in...

I mean... it's definately BUSY... but the RPEs look pretty manageable...

Anyone watch:

I loved this show it had a great old school vibe! Apparently lots of people hated it after reading the comments.

OLEKSII NOVIKOV looked freaking amazing in almost every event.

I don't think I've seen anyone 'hate it' but the general consensus was the deadlift was kind of a clusterfuck...

That kind of changing rules on the fly isn't a good thing... some of the production was a little weird... but it was free... I'm not whining...

Mystery event (flag hoist) was pretty cool...

They could have checked to see if the tire fit under the platform lol... and the shield was just mean but that's the fun of it...

Still watching it a bit at a time. The first event was fantastic, the second event (The surprise one) is meh. The comment section is full of morons. It's seems to be going okay for a live deal, nobody in particular is getting screwed worse than anyone else so far.

That first dude on the DLs loaded his own weights but no one else did. That was weird. I thought it was good for a live event.
