Had LASIK done. Surgery went well. I'm supposed to take it easy for a bit and avoid things like dust, germs and getting hit in the face.

Ooo. I've thought about doing this for a while. My glasses prescription has only changed a tiny bit in something like 5 years. But then I'd have to wear empty lenses, because I am an unfan of my face without them.

I'm the opposite. I hate glasses. They annoy me and I don't like how I look in them.

I had worn contacts for almost 20 years. My prescription had only changed a tiny bit in the last 10 years. Contacts didn't bother me too much but not having to mess with them anymore will be nice.

I'd wear sunglasses. All the time. Everywhere. Living through the 90s without being able to pop on a pair of totally radical sunglasses? Worst thing ever. I need to make up for lost time.

I do wear sunglasses. I had to go two weeks without wearing contacts before LASIK and I didn't have any prescription sunglasses, so on the one or two sunny days we had I was squinting like mad.

I remember having an obnoxiously large pair of Oakley sunglasses in the 80s when I was a kid. I'm sure they had a fair amount of neon.

I guess I'm not quite over whatever bug I picked up. A couple hours after this session I spiked a nasty fever. It broke overnight and I woke up drenched in sweat. I took the next day off of work. I feel a lot better today, but I'm still more tired than I should be.

Thanks. Yeah I was 21 and my wife was 19 when we got married. I couldn’t risk letting her go!
