So is the Verve no gap bench just a rebadged Rep Fitness bench? :)

I don't think so. There are subtle differences (shape of the screws on the base for example) that would indicate it's a copy of the design rather than being a rebadged model.

Picked up an Aussie Strength Fat Bar last month. A bit more expensive that I would have liked ($300), but none of the other brands were in stock. Shipping was very poor (the tube it shipped in basically only covered half the bar), but it survived relatively unscathed.

Bar itself is nice, feels really good for pressing exercises and really just the grip for deadlifts and rows.

Would be interested to hear if anybody has a review of Verve's trap bar, although I am also eyeing of Rogue deadlift bar. Will probably need to get a 9 bar holder as well...

Late to the party here, has anyone mentioned Dreadnought Strength Equipment and Valhalla Strength?

Ordered a Fitek open trap bar, https://www.fitek.com.au/Open-Trap-Barbell-Premium

reviews of it are good and I thought that trap bar deadlifts might make a good variation to conventional deadlifts.

I’m going to grab the scout hyper from Rogue.
Looks like a nice piece for the garage gym

Pit my name on the pre-order list for a Loaded Lifting deadlift bar, happy to wait a month or two to save some $$$ and the reviews have all been good (only negative with the first batch was the rings on the bar were off by a bit).

I shelled out for the power bar and plate package. Not sure how long I'll have to wait, but everything Loaded has been posting recently points to September deliveries.

I went with the base power bar, figure it should be plenty good.

Yeah, I expect that the August ETA is going to pushed out, hopefully not by too much. But a deadlift bar isn't an essential thing so happy to wait.

If you look at their IG they've effectively guaranteed September. I think that's pretty reasonable given their location and what I'm sure is a large volume of sales

Yeah, hopefully shipping times improve. It's my biggest gripe with Loaded, being in WA makes shipping slow and super expensive (nearly $100 to ship a barbell to the ACT!!!).

Lol you're ACT too?

Consider yourself lucky, shopping for the barbell and plates cost me $275.

You train just at home?

Yep, in Kaleen. Didn't know that there were any other Ken
Behrens here.

Only train at home these days, used to train at Elite Physique from 09 to 17, but went all in on the home gym front and never looked back. I do miss not having machines for accessory work, but since become a dad the convenience of the home gym is massive, even better with working from home.

Casey here.

We may well have crossed paths, I trained exclusively at Elite from early 2015 till it became Club Lime. Now I train there periodically, mostly at Ultra Fitness and Strength.

Probably did come across each other at least in passing, although I'm not very social at the gym. Was a great place to train back in the day.

Sheesh, you guys, I'm a Belco boy, lived there from twelve years old until the early noughties, so more than half my life. Still kinda think of it as home - course I never lifted back then.

It still isn't bad. Much the same as it was around 2016, just more powerlifting equipment.

It's a small world! I haven't been back for a few years, but I guess I'll have to go visit Dad one day when COVID allows. Least someone here should be able to point me towards somewhere decent to lift.
