I'm trying to sign up for a meet on June 10, but it's saying my member number is "an error". I just re-upped my membership yesterday, so it probably needs another day; I'll try again tomorrow, and if it doesn't work, I'll email the meet director.

That means I'm 4 months out.

185 x 4 @ 9
Under 7 minutes.

Stiff-Legged Deadlift

Under 8 minutes

Pendulum Squat
Sled + 270 x 5,5,5

Notes
First time training with the Body Masters Power Squat machine at the Y. When facing the sled, it feels like an SSB or front squat; it's kind of a pendulum motion, so that's what I'm calling it in the BBM app and here.

I saw a guy deadlift 635 today, which is the most I've seen deadlifted in-person.

I used to lift at Mount Vernon Barbell here in New York. It was stupid. 700 DLs on the reg, but the two most ridiculous things that I saw were:

- A woman squat 405x10. It probably took 3 or so minutes and was the most incredible grind that I’ve ever seen.

- A dude incline bench press 585. Not a typo.

This made me smile. And let forth a string of jubilant expletives, apparently (my kid just asked me if something was wrong).

This is her:

After she got up off the ground, I had to walk up to her and tell her that it was the most incredible set that I’d ever seen, far more so than some dude jacking up 600 once. She seemed to genuinely appreciate the thought, despite me clearly having no business opining on 405x10 or 600x1. Cool person, too.

I don't think I would know how to comprehend seeing that.
