Re: Official Pioneer Fitness Thread
I've never had any issue(that I can tell) with sizing. Any particular reason the new belt is significantly superior? I'm just not seeing the big deal. I'm concerned about the shifting while moving, and I'd like to wait to see how the reviews pan out.

Re: Official Pioneer Fitness Thread
Actually, thinking about this, it makes sense for consistency. A 13mm belt, no matter what they make it out of, has to be 13mm or less to pass competition specs. So a 13mm from Pioneer is either 13mm of sole leather, or <13mm of sole leather and some thickness of other material (nylon, suede, etc). But the point is that the maximum thickness is 13mm. So a 10mm would also be, at maximum, 10mm.Root wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 1:20 pm I looked up my invoice from Inzer from 2012, and it lists the "Forever Buckle Belt 10MM" for $79.95 (it's $10 more now.) It's possible that they accidentally sent me a 13 and I've just never realized. Does anyone else have an Inzer 10mm that they can measure? At this point I'm very curious.
I don't know what the deal is with the Inzer, you would think they would also use the outside thickness? Because it looked like it was pretty darn close to my 13mm single suede.
Either way, it's going to be a great belt, and the color is really pretty.
Lever. I really like lever belts.

@Allentown , I was thinking a lever belt, but the extra expense doesn't seem worth it...

FWIW I plan on getting a new belt. It's going to be a lever. It's to replace a lever. Though, for <13mm, I'd probably just get a single prong or Pioneer cut, probably untreated 6.5mm. For anything else personally I'd get a lever. It's SO nice to just pop the lever open after a set.

Having used both... yeah honestly if I had 1 belt, I'd consider just a prong, but now that my first one is a lever, if I get another it will be lever also, set one hole tighter so I can actually use it to press/bench. So much nicer (IMO) than a prong it's not even close.

Re: Official Pioneer Fitness Thread
Oh, yeah, I should point out that I also have a 6.5mm single prong that I use somewhat regularly. 13mm for volume deadlifts? No thanks.cgeorg wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 6:07 am Having used both... yeah honestly if I had 1 belt, I'd consider just a prong, but now that my first one is a lever, if I get another it will be lever also, set one hole tighter so I can actually use it to press/bench. Serious AP going on. I almost miss the time when you could just get a design embroidered on...

Analysis Paralysis.
You used to pick your suede color, and get some words embroidered.
Now, I'm thinking of getting a green dyed belt, with black fade, with some script lasered on... or it might be really cool to just get the suede and try and get a pic of Cthulhu embroidered on it...

Re: Official Pioneer Fitness Thread
Pulled the trigger on two plain leather 6.5mm belts for my wife and I. She's been using a Velcro harbinger belt, and I've had a 2.5 inch best belt for years. I've never had a 4" leather belt, I guess I'll see how it works.
Should be nice to get those in the mail in a month or so.

Re: Official Pioneer Fitness Thread
So I made a review of my Pioneer 3inch belt and kinda compared it to my Inzer belt. It's my first review of anything so I kinda just blabbered on about stuff, but I think I gave an honest assessment of the belt.

Belts came in already. They are nice, plain. Going to have a little bit of an issue until it breaks in, but overall they seem sturdy enough.

They usually do 4th of July sales, right? Considering I'm planning on getting pretty much every bell and whistle, saving 5%+ adds up.
