How to tag someone in a post? Cheat sheet for posting?

I am trying to figure out how to tag someone in a post. I see people doing it, using the @ symbol followed by their user name and it turns out red bold font. I tried it and it looked like regular text. I'm sure i'm missing something

Then i started to look for a cheat sheet for all the logging stuff. For example, bold, underline, strikethrough, tagging people, etc. Is there a list of all these anywhere?

If you click the “full editor and preview” button under the quick reply dialog box, you’ll get a row of buttons, starting with “bold” to customize the text.

The mention feature is still buggy at times depending on browser. You can manually enable it with the “mention” and “/mention” markup strings inside of square brackets [ ].

It would look like this:

That renders like:

@ahpowerlifts

When you're composing a post (full editor, not quick reply), to the right of the text box where you are entering your reply, there is something that say "BBCode is ON" under the smilies. If you click on "BBCode", it will take you to:

app.php/help/bbcode

I think that answers your questions on bold, underline, etc. Tagging you've got figured out.
