Add Snatch and C&J to profile and rankings
Would anyone else like to have snatch and clean & jerk added to the lifts in user profiles and thus the rankings table?

Reported for heresy.
On a serious note: I have no desire to do the Olympic lifts, but it’s because I’m a delicate flower who manages to injure myself every time I do. I wouldn’t use the rankings personally, but there seem to be a decent amount of people who might.

I am too fat, uncoordinated and hateful of kilograms to care about the snatch and clean & jerk but if it wasn't a major deal to do so, adding makes sense. There is a large contingent of folks interested in - and practicing - weightlifting on here based on reading through various logs and other threads.

An option to view the page in metric would be nice. Kilograms for the win.

I thought power cleans were the only olympic lifts allowed here?

I actually totally support this. One of my goals is a 600lb deadlift combined with a 6:00-minute mile. Most of us on this forum (at least that's my perception) aren't necessarily into strength training for competition - we just want to be strong AF while kicking ass at life. I think a running goal aligns with that mentality, and 1-mile isn't long enough to totally wreck our gainzZz but still demonstrates a baseline of conditioning.

I'm not insane, like this guy
But excluding some serious health conditions >10min mile is... Perhaps 10min rest times between sets of 5 is not all the cardio you need.

Re: Add Snatch and C&J to profile and rankings
As a decent, once a week kinda runner (5:30 mile back in college), a 6:00 mile while also being serious about strength training would be really impressive. I can't seem to train for both successfully... I blame having two young kiddos and a lack of sleep. I'm just happy to break a 7:30 minute mile these days.MattNeilsen wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 1:59 pmI actually totally support this. Re: Add Snatch and C&J to profile and rankings
A sub 10 minute mile would represent at least some training for non runners.
I think a 1 mile time column would be lovely.
That may or may not be a secret goal of mine also, but I'd settle for 6:30/500. Same day. Heck If I can get 7:30/405 by the end of the year, I'll be happy.MattNeilsen wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 1:59 pm One of my goals is a 600lb deadlift combined with a 6:00-minute mile.
Hey Math peeps, what would be a good coefficient for deadlift/mile time ratio? If 600lbs and a 6 minute mile was "perfect", then Deadlift/60xSpeed?
My 360 deadlift power single this week and a 9 minute mile gives me a .9

To be fair, this is "Exodus Strength" and not "Exodus Fitness"

Re: Add Snatch and C&J to profile and rankings
Haha, all good points. Truthfully, I'd be pretty happy to get below a 7-minute mile (with the aforementioned deadlift). My strength training definitely takes precedence over my conditioning, but I've also vowed to never let it slip as much as I did when I was all about the SSLP lifestyle.
