The Chainsaw Man manga is fantastic and I eagerly await each anime episode every week! It's a superbly faithful adaptation.
Re: manga; I finally finished Attack of Titan, and waiting on Berserk is killing me. Chainsaw Man will now fill my manga void.
Without spoiling anything, the last episode of Attack Of Tita is still near that battle in the harbor, right?

(I watched everything that was available a year or two ago, at the time there was still more in the pipeline to be released.)
Part 1 of Season 4 was last year but Part 2 was released earlier this year. I can't off the top of my head recall story-wise where the two seasons start and end but based on your time-frame you have some catching up to do!
Oh, shit. The addiction is about to be fed again.

I've been following a long thread on another forum about it and honestly, it's been almost universally praised. So nice to see some Star Wars that's well written and has some substance.

What was your favourite part? There were some great speeches, I think Luthen's might be my favourite. Skarsgaard is pretty dang good. And I really appreciate the fact that it shows Andor is, despite being a 'good guy', also a cold blooded killer. So you know... one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

Yes. These were all parts I loved to.
I'm one of those people who, when they changed it so Han didn't shoot first, thought it fucked up his character.
When the good guys have some bad and the bad guys have some nuance it's a million times more interesting than the good vs bad.
The Luthen speech was insane. Mic drop. Thought for sure it would be the end of the episode. Loved it.
The 10 year old dork in me, his favorite part was the final spaceship battle scene. (Purposeflly vague here to avoid spoilers.)
Another favorite part, or maybe favorite trait of the show, was how it was so unpredictable, yet at the same time everything made sense in how it built up to everything else.

Update: weird and geeky, but another favorite part is seeing how the bureaucracy and intelligence arm of the Empire work.

@hector

It's funny, one of the things I like about Andor was the fact that there wasn't a ton of fan service. Like very few aliens, space battles, or super futuristic technology, really. But that spaceship battle scene, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it was fan service but I loved it, maybe because it was used so judiciously. I read an interesting article about that recently actually, would have to dig it up, but I think that scene was quite difficult to get over the line as they were very budget constrained and that cost them quite a bit of money. Also read an article saying that Maarva's final rousing speech was supposed to use a different word than 'Fight' the Empire but Disney put the kibosh on it unsurprisingly :)

Such a shame we have to wait so long for Season 2. Maybe I'll convince the wife to watch Rogue One on date night. It'll be either that or Weird which is actually gonna be a strangely tough choice.

Fleabag on Prime is great if you like dark British cringe dramedy. It's only 2 seasons and it has an ending.

Yep, both Fleabag and Slow Horses are really good. Funnily enough it was @gnuckols that put me onto Slow Horses on a podcast months and months ago, it was so good I started reading the books. Now I'm pissed off I didn't realise season 2 had started but we can only watch so many shows at once....

Gary Oldman is on record Slow Horses is the last acting job he will take. Hopefully it has a few more seasons to go.

Andor is bittersweet. I’m not talking about the actual plot, but rather the notion that they have finally put together a series that can make a rational adult give a shit about this franchise again.

Mandalorian was a good western (mainly S1, merchandising killed S2), but didn’t motivate the overarching plot against the empire. Andor absolutely made things “way more important” in the Star Wars universe, something they haven’t done since maybe Rogue One.

Oh, and fuck you, whoever came up with this plot, for making me have some level of empathy/sympathy for a goddamn droid. Wasn’t fully expecting that.

Anyhow, good shit. I hope they don’t fuck up S2.

Willow was decent. Not great, a couple of episodes were too silly to be off the tone of the rest of the show, but overall just a live-action D&D campaign for the geeks out there.

Pretty good start for Last of Us...

Did a better job in one episode than most zombie shows do in entire seasons...

New Jack Ryan is busy but good.

I was watching terrible reality TV (Love Island, Dated and Related, The Circle, etc.) and stumbled upon Love on the Spectrum. This was a really good show in terms of basic humanity. Might make all of you tough men a bit weepy at times but worth it.

The original season/version/whatev is better than the newer one. The guy that the primarily follow in the first season is (this is about to sound bad to somebody) much more likeable than the girl the other season follows. The dinosaur dude was pretty great.

However, no weepiness.

There was a great line on one of the dates about de-shitting a prawn or something, I may have had a tear there but it was because it made me laugh super hard.
