I posted thios once already, I thought. I don't know if i messed something up or it got deleted by a Mod but I'm giving a second go.
This is the best tutorial I have ever seen on this, he covers everything and covers it clearly and thoroughly. This is why he is doing so well and I would say is likely to win WSM at least once. This is the kind of thing you would get from Magnus Ver, and is the way Novikov seems to approach events - the technique and analysis gives them a jump on everyone else that is worth more than brute strength.

I competed in a few local strongman events put on by the local crossfit gym years ago. I always had difficulty with the stones and trying to get them off the ground, especially as stickum or other aids weren't allowed. I never had stones to practice with so it was always trying to do the best I could in the day of competition. My biggest difficulty was getting them off the ground. I didn't place my hands forward like in the video but tried directly in the middle. My wrists hurt for weeks afterwards. Wish I had seen this video back then...

It's a really comprehensive video, there was stuff in there that I do but never thought about because I was good at Stones from the start. He really puts a lot into it, a serious technician. I know most competitors don't think things through half as much as he seems to.
