Titan finally released theirs. For the price/features Rep's still seems like a better buy.

The feet of the Titan trap bar look like they’ll eat into your wood platform or rubber horse stall mats.murphyreedus wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 5:05 pm Titan finally released theirs. For the price/features Rep's still seems like a better buy.

I also would not recommend Titan’s trap bar at this time.

Re: Best Trap Bar with Low Handles
How big of a difference do slightly offset low handles make in terms of balance? My issue with my rogue tb2 is that it tips in my hands so easily with the low handles, especially when I’m already fatigued and position my grip slightly wrong. Also, the high handles are just comically high on the tb2, no idea why they made it 2x then height of any other bar.

Not me. New handles are supposed to be available next week. That was a big issue for me.murphyreedus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 7:02 amExpensive, though. I could have almost 2 crappy Titan bars for one Black Widow.

Did anyone here actually get the Rep bar?
I was going back and forth between the Giant Lifting and the Rep. The Giant after 10% off plus a coupon code was going to be $300 shipped vs. Rep's at $430 shipped. I think the Rep is probably overall better value, but $130 is not much of a price difference. Plus, I have some Rep rewards points.
I just fucked up my back, so I may decide to pull the trigger on one or the other. Still haven't decided.

Eleiko email says their updated bar now comes with two handle heights.

I pulled the trigger on the Rep open trap bar. I had $45 in reward points (should have had $50), so ended up being $380 after taxes/etc.

Re: Best Trap Bar with Low Handles
Rep Open Trap Bar is nice...
Only downside I can think of is that it weighs 75lbs so plate math is hard, but its well balanced, 28mm knurled handles are better than what was on my budget trap bar, its long enough that the weights don't hit the center of my platform, and the built in jack is nice.
Worth noting I think the high handles are about an inch lower than a "standard" trap bar. Doesn't really matter much to me as I typically used a 3/4in mat as a 'deficit' when using the high handles on my old trap bar.

Re: Best Trap Bar with Low Handles
I ordered the latest version of the Giant Lifting open trap bar, got it today. Seems well built, knurling is sharp, handle width feels good to me. My comp bumpers fit nicely on the sleeves, the sleeves are long enough to get 7 of my comp 45s plus collars on, and standard collars clamp on tightly. Unless it spontaneously combusts during use, it seems like a winner. Also shipped very fast (from order placement to my door in under 3 days).
