Re: 2022 Goals
Provided that @Anaphase can actually pick a damn goal for more than a week or two my vote goes to chowing up to 185 and just get the shit done.
177 is such a weird number anyway...

Re: 2022 Goals
Honestly, I don't have much energy for anything recently, but given that I only have 6 months left I really, really want to at least break 475. 445 -> 475 if not 445 -> 500.

Re: 2022 Goals
I think I want to commit to arm isolation work 2x/week, and strict muscle up practice once a week with maybe an attempt at greasing the groove before/after teaching classes.
Lifting wise, I think a 200kg squat/300kg deadlift are pretty realistic. On April 30th I had 187.5kg/285kg with a lot more room on the DL.

Re: 2022 Goals
1. 7/12 done
2. Weight loss. It all came from my arms
3. Working on it.
4. On Week 11 of 14. Have not done all the GPP, which was listed as kind of optional anyways.
5. Getting further away.
6. Getting closer still.

I salute you in everything except #5.
On #5 I sympathize with you. Same boat.

1) Nope. took an arrow to the elbow.augeleven wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 9:17 am 0) realizing that having calendar year-end goals is dumb for me since my life is structured completely around the school year
End of School Year goals
1) PR Murph - should be easy, last year’s time was sloow.
2) continue to effectively diet. On day 85, hoping to get to day 200 before a maintenance phase
3) PR my 5k, which means sub 27 minutes. I still think I can add speed by building my base and shedding some weight.
4) continue with my program to the end of June without hopping to something else
5) Be prepared for a summer of topless mowing the lawn and running in the streets.
2) Successfully tracked everyday. Shooting for a 198 weigh-in for my November powerlifting meet
3) Need to sign up for a race, as I won't push it by myself. Maybe December, or maybe this spring
4) Completely successful. Summers don't count for adherence.
5) Not a lot of mowing, but I ran topless once or twice while traveling and went to several pools and a water park without dying of shame.
1) lol. I'm not saying this will never happen, but...yeah.Stretch goals
1) Bench 300/Squat 400/Deadlift 500
2) hike the Carter/Wildcat/Moriah traverse
3) sign up for a trail 50k in the fall
4) 20 chin-ups, even if they’re neutral grip and kinda cheaty.
2) Tried it, but had to bail before the Wildcats due to thunderstorms
3) nope. no.
4) Spent most of 2022 trying to get my elbow to cooperate. Maybe before December 31?
Somehow I didn't include this, but my running goal was 800 miles in 2022, with a minimum of 10 a week. So far so good.
Big focus until the end of the year is diet. Secondary foci are not injuring myself trying to do a powerlifting meet, 800 running miles in 2022, chin-up PR.

Re: 2022 Goals
Shit's going well.
I didn't formally make a tng bench single @440 a 2022 goal be because I didn't think it was possible.
But it seems possible now. Hit an easy 420 about a month ago. Pretty sure 430 would go right now*. 440 is close.
Once I get it, I might never bench again.
Edit: *can confirm. Just got 195.5kg (431#).

Re: 2022 Goals
Oh, I'm sure I'll still bench. I'll just feel lost. I genuinely thought a tng rep at 440 was an unachievable goal.OrderInChaos wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 12:21 pmShift to chasing an OHP PR and only use stuff like CGBP for triceps work? Or just done pressing!?!
I've been chasing it for years.

Re: 2022 Goals
1. 11/12 done
2. Getting even smaller, even with weight gain
3. Gave up on it.
4. Done. It didn't help my goals, but I did it anyways
5. Getting even further away.
6. Pretty confident in this now or very soon.

Re: 2022 Goals
Please excuse me being too lazy to try to figure from your log, but what do you think is the issue with 2 and especially 5, in light of weight gain? Something particular to do with the program that didn’t help?
