I just found out about @iamsmu’s passing this morning. Another reminder of our mortality. My condolences go out to his wife and family. I remember him posting about fixing up his house on Instagram. That was a bit of interest since I had introduced him to a realtor that helped him find a place he wanted.

Also remember posts of his about his Honda Fit with an upgraded sound system.

Live life as best you can.

Damn, bro. Thanks for sharing or I would have no idea. It was nice going back and forth on some topics with someone with the same academic background as myself. It's a rare opportunity.

I followed iamsmu over here from the old place. Him, toast, and Hector. He was generous with his advice in a place where meanness was the rule.

RIP smu, and huge condolences to Heidi and his loved ones. I looked forward to seeing what he had to say on any topic, he definitely stretched my thinking.

I'm so sorry.
I loved talking to Iamsmu. It was great to learn the thought process of someone so smart who thought so differently.
Can't believe it.

So sorry to hear this. Condolences to Heidi.

iamsmuts from the beforelands. Good dude. He always had a really interesting, unique perspective.

Less important, but seeing a 200lb man do front levers and whatnot was wildly impressive. The man went his own way in his hobbies as well.

Should mention that @heidikay is his wife, if not already general knowledge here.

Good thoughts for all in these times of difficulty.

My condolences. Way too young. Very much a reminder of mortality.

That's awful. Condolences to Heidi. I enjoyed reading his posts here and following his front levers on Instagram.

Meant to comment on this earlier. Obviously a huge bummer and hope his family is doing as well as they can. Hadn't realized it had been so long since I'd seen his stuff on IG...

Oh wow this is sad. Just last night I had the random thought of trying to track him down.
