Two year ketoversary

What's a carb? A car part? What's a macro? A type of camera lens?

He looks like he subsists on bacon and cheese.
I guess that counts?

Congrats, @Wilhelm! That's really beastly. I'm glad it's working for you. Zero cheats is seriously impressive.

That's impressive, Wilhelm!

How many pounds of eggs and meat do you consume on a typical day?

^curious about hat too.

I understood that you do bump carbs strategically, right? If yes, how does it work for you when you do that or dont/forget it?

I've only done that on meet day.
Dark chocolate 70 & 85% cacao bars.
22 grams carbs for a whole bar of the 70%
I was likely still in ketosis even with several bars eaten through the day.

Daily carbs are very rarely over 20 grams.

I don't really eat that much meat, or even eggs every day.
Kippers a few times a week. salmon sometimes. Chicken thighs once a week.
I did have 8 oz ground beef/ground bacon mix with some eggs last night, and the same a few days before.
The higher residue meals i save for off days/dinner the night before an off day.
Other than light cream in my coffee (30 cals and 5 g fat per Tbsp, i use 4 per cup), i eat very little dairy. Almost no cheese. Maybe snack on a few thin slices from what my wife has.
Then 1/4 cups of whole milk cottage cheese maybe every other day.
MCT oil and coconut oil are everyday items. Coconut oil in my coffee, except now when i am having lower calories.
Probably 4 to 5 Tbsp MCT oil a day. These are what i adjust to meet whatever calorie target i have. Super easy to regulate.

Lots of whey isolate, and a little peanut butter. Raw cacao powder in all my shakes.
Avocado blended in a few times a week.
I buy my whey in 20 kilo bags.

Ground flax and veggies for my fiber.
Red chard, spinach, brocolli mostly.
Kim chee

I look at these fancy keto recipies and think "Ain't nobody got time for that"
But as i said, i am a freak in this regard.
I don't miss any foods.
All i want to do is feed the machine. And that makes me perfectly happy.

I take a really good multi every day, magnesium glycinate and Vit D3 twice daily, and then K2 twice a week.
Salt water every day, sometimes a little potassium gluconate, but whey actually has a fair amount of potassium.

No sugar in anything, except i will nibble a little high cacao% dark chocolate a few times a week.

When we go downstate, i will get some big bags of walnuts since there is a place with a great price on them.

2,000 would be a pretty aggressive cut number for me. I may do that for a month after my meet. Then a long very slow cut.
I have been doing 2,400 to 2,600 for quite a while, more that six weeks, maybe eight. I would have to look in my book.
Lost a little and got another hole on my belt, but i'm also 4 weeks out, and am bumping things up a little.

i think maintenance is maybe around 2,800 +
But I just use the scale weight in the morning and belt hole at this point to dial that in day to day.

I reached 195lbs morning weight, but am cruising along at 196 or 197 the last week..

200 to 201 fed and watered during the day.

Today i'm having more calories in my morning coffees.

Well, it's two weeks early, but i replied to someone's ketosis post today in another thread, so i may as well do these both now so i don't expose myself to the usual hate for any longer than necessary.

Four year ketoversary in two weeks.

I tried very low carb for a while but never managed to enter ketosis. Was pretty disappointing. Someday maybe I will experience the smell of rotten apples.

Do you monitor your ketone levels? if so, how? how often? etc?

What would you say are your primary sources of fat?
(or, its so varied, there's no answer for this?)
