History:
Was introduced to strength training with Starting Strength in maybe 2014. Lifted that way through the end of 2016 with intermittent success. I never figured out how to make reliable progress after the early intermediate stage. Worked with a coach online near the end, which helped some.
Took a few years off and started back up in June of 2020 after selling off half of my home gym. I ran an LP from June to August, and an 8/6/3 10-day rotation from August to November. When I look at the MM template it seems like a logical extension of what I've done, we'll see. The lack of intensity is unnerving.
The last 6 months went something like this:
Day 1 | end LP | end 8/6/3 | |
Dead | 250 x5 | 380 x5 | 415 x6 |
Squat | 225 x5 | 335 x5 | 370 x3 |
Bench | 185 x5 | 245 x5 | 280 x5 |
Press | 135 x5 | 165 x5 | 185 x5 |
I really dislike squatting. I only do what I have to, almost always beltless.
Tested singles before Thanksgiving. 1RMs for are currently 465/405/315/210, most of which are at or near PRs.
