Friday 4/10

Hex Bar DL: 5x5-445 (3min)
Bench: 6x4-285 (2min)
Box Squat: 5x5-325 (2min)

5x5-445 on hex was tough...deload next week (Hallelujah!). I'm going to change up the next cycle hex bar to 3x8.

I currently have a hypertrophy, overload and then Hepburn progression day on bench. I think I have 2 more 5lb jumps on Hepburn so 2 more months of that. I really need to adjust my overload day. 4x4-265+40lb chains pushed me to @9 so now I'm torn. Should I drop to 6x2-265+40lb chains or stick with 4x4 but switch to bands? Thoughts?

I have no experience with bands. My plan is to alternate between chains and slingshot. As of right now, I enjoy the slingshot more.

Monday 4/13

Deload week

Squat (no box): 1-365, 1-405 and 1-455
Bench: none...shoulders on vacay!
accessory circuit: 3x12

Squats felt weird...I kept reaching for the box. I'll try a couple normal squats Wed/Friday as well. These didn't bother my knee so hopefully things are progressing.

Ok, still lifting, but trying to drop weight. I'm not to worried about the weights right now...just pushing hard and doing a bunch of cardio (cycling and mountain biking mostly).

I'll start posting workouts again once I'm at my goal weight. I think! :)

BTW, congratulation on your son's appointment to West Point. I read your comment in the coronavirus threat. That is a huge honor.
