HeidiKay's Woman Without a Penis Log

#1

Post by heidikay » Mon Apr 02, 2018 6:32 pm

I've been lifting since 2014. I am 44 yrs old, 5'3, and 110lbs. Hanley has been coaching me since February of 2018.

My best lifts are:
94# for overhead press
122# for bench
187# for low bar squat
350# for deadlift

I also smell really good.

Log title refers to men competing in women's sports. The thread below is golden: It’s full of such choice dildoisms as a man telling me he knows more about being a woman than me because he escorts women to powerlifting meets; another man saying that men make the best women and yelling at me for misgendering a pedophile; and another man talking about how much he likes using women’s restrooms.

Nice lifts! Especially for your BW. I’m in my 2nd MM cycle as well. It’s been a relief to finally just offload programming for a while. Hope the progress continues!

Thanks! I've been stalled for a while so it's nice to shake things up.

Very nice work! I'll add your log to my subscribed list. Gotta support a Montana sister! :)

Also, out of curiosity: what was your background prior to this that got your deadlift so high?

Thanks! Re: background, nothing really beyond starting the Starting Strength stuff about 4 years ago upon @iamsmu recommendation (my husband). Only exercise I did before then was running really.

Workout 4/3/18
A light day

Ran on treadmill this morning for about 30 min (will transition to running outside a day or two a week now that weather is warming)

Press
Top single @9
I did this at 81#

7 minute density block of 80% of top single
I did this at 65#/30 reps

I am very sore from doing RDL yesterday -- I never do them.

4/4/18
Squat
1x3@60% --114#
1x2@70%--133#
2 singles @80%--152#
1@85%--162#

Bench
3@60%--64#
2@70%--75#
2 singles@80%--85#
1@85%, then--91#
2x2@80%--85#

Deadlift

5x4@70%--217#

Terrible sleep last night so still not quite recovered from those RDLs. I think tonight's workout made it feel a bit better.

4/9/18
Hypertrophy
Squats
60% x 5 --115#
65% x 3,7,5,8,4,7,3 --125#
This was pretty easy. Feels weird to not even put the 45 plates on the bar haha.

Bench
60% x 5 --65#
65% x 4,7,5,9,5,8,4 --69#
Again, pretty easy. I like doing the high rep stuff.

Chinups
7 minute density block -- 43 reps
A few less than last time I did chins; crappy sleep last night.

4/10/18

Cardio:LISS
31 minutes on treadmill (raining outside so couldn't run outdoors)
I think all the incline work on the treadmill is starting to jack with my IT band -- time to do some dreaded stretching

Overhead Press
10-minute density block
65# for 38 reps

LT extension
20# + bar (I think it weighs 20#)
4 sets of 8 reps/will up weight next time

Do you do running for your cardio slot to train for a specific goal, or is it just a remnant of your days as a runner? I've been trying to convince myself recently that I should do some running again, but I keep defaulting to the C2 rower.

It's just from when I used to run. Also, I just like to generally do some conditioning about 4x a week to jazz me mood-wise (long New England winters). HIIT is brutal so I like to do some LISS to mix it up.
The C2 is awesome. I stopped using it for a while and started using the Assault bike to change things up.Need to move it into my rotation again. I am horrible at it though and it definitely interferes with my deadlift if I do it too much.

4/11/18
Power Day
Squat
110#x4
125#x3
135#X3
155#x2
165#x2

Bench Press
65#x4
75#x3
86#x2
92#x2
86#x2

Deadlift
235# for 5 sets of 4

My squat form is too vertical when it gets heavy and I'm pausing (inadvertently) at the bottom.I think it's a nerve (mental) thing. I need to send in form videos to Hanley.

4/13/18

Squat
3x5@70%
5x3@70%
Did this at 135#, probably should have gone up 5#

Bench Press
1@85%
Did this at 92#
3X5@70%
5X4@70%
Did this at 75#

RDL
3X8@123#
Think i'm getting the hang of these -- I'll definitely add weight next time. Used my ladybar, which helped with grip.

Woohoo! @iamsmu is making a deadlift platform in the basement this weekend. Should put an end to all the unintentional deficit deadlifts due to the cratered, crooked basement floor.

Nice! More equipment is ALWAYS the right answer.

I checked out his log and realized we share an interest in bodyweight training. Now I need to convert him to knife fighting :)

Send ‘em.

I’d rather work with “Too vertical” than “folded over”.

4/16/18

HIIT (Did this in morning, weights in late afternoon)
Assault Bike
7 intervals of 20 sec work/1:40 min rest

Squat
6X5 @70%
Did this at 135#

Bench
7X5 at 70%
Did this at 77#

Snatch Grip Dead Lift
4X5 at 50% of conventional DL
Did this at 155#
I like these; I've never done them before. I used my ladybar so I wouldn't have to contend with the horrible grip issues I've been hearing about on these.
