Late logging again. Still just not really feeling it, but want to see if I can lift around 2x/week. Will be playing with some stuff I found around the forum.
Squat
185 4x6
as light as I went last week I guess it might have been too much for my return; fucking hip flared up just like it did when I will still lifting regularly.... not fun.
Bench 5x6
Hcurls 20 x 15, 12, 15
LPD 70 x 18, 18, 18

Let’s see how it goes this time. @KOTJ hooking it up with some fun looking stuff to get me back into it.
Kept things SUPER light today since it was my first time lifting since May.
Squats - was actually dreading these bc the last couple of times I squatted it SUCKED - let my form get sloppy and they aggravated my left hip area, the same spot that was bothering me before my like 6 month layoff... Slowed things down today, turned my toes in a little more and focused on my form and things went a lot better. Hip flared a little but not like last time and after I got warm it didn’t bother me. Little tender now though so will have to keep an eye on things. Fucking annoying though that my hip is so easily bothered after so much time off, but glad to be lifting so I won’t let it get me down.
185 x 5
205 x 5
185 3x7
Incline bench
105 2x6
95 3x7
Axel press - first time doing these, pretty cool

Not exactly hitting the 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off each week schedule but I'm not skipping any sessions. Having fun lifting again!
Squat - pushed a little harder on these this week. I'm finding that some of the strength is still there, but none of the work capacity is. Slow and steady so as to not aggravate the hip - so far so good.

Front squat - been doing this PSOAS release thingy the last couple of days, even did it b/w sets today, and it feels like it's helping my hip. No aggravation at all today. can already tell my work capacity is increasing, but damn I'm out of breath at the end of each set.

Back at it a couple weeks later. Rolled the PISS out of my ankle while hiking the day after my last session, so had to miss a few. On the plus side I got moved into my new place and have laid out the area in the garage where I want to install the squat rack! Starting to do some research now on wall mount racks, bars, benches, etc...

Finally, after years of wanting one, I now have my garage gym! Pretty basic setup to start - wall mount squat rack, adjustable bench and a barbell (all by Bells of Steel). Got a decent deal on some rubber coated plates that should last me a while - just need to get a set of 5s and 2.5s. Also going to throw together a platform within the next couple of weeks, but for now I can get by with lowering the weights to the floor when I deadlift.
Will throw up some pictures when I get the garage cleaned and a little better organized.
Didn't do too much as I haven't lifted in a month or more, so just getting moving....again.
