I just wanted to drop a quick line and say that your consistency in training as a blue-collar working dad inspires me regularly.
Solid work sir.

I suppose this would be an ironic time to mention I'm considering taking the day off?
I hate to admit there was a time in my life I would have cared more...TurtleBear wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 2:49 pmI mean...youre probably fine.mouse wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 11:21 amI appreciates it.TurtleBear wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 7:09 am I just wanted to drop a quick line and say that your consistency in training as a blue-collar working dad inspires me regularly.

Chicken finger pizza probably not on my diet plan but I'm thanking my father in law for helping me pick up 3000 lbs worth of landscaping shit this afternoon.
Pushing 1900 lbs of retaining wall bricks and mulch through a parking lot with a not so slight at all uphill grade made my very sad calves very tired hahaha...
Actually a very short wall, but long lol, I ended up buying 110 bricks, about 23 lbs a piece to do the edging around our pool, and wound up only needing 90... haven't decided what to do with the other 20...TurtleBear wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 3:21 amAh tis the season....mouse wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 3:30 pm BW: 253.2

Thats gonna be a big wall. Updating the garden?
It very well might be, and I'm hoping to figure that out... the way I laid it out this morning is still a U/L split but maybe the next go round I'll try fulls...cole wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 6:42 am ive alwyas thought m-w-f is actually optimal. you train full body, take the next day to recover, do that 3 times and take an extra day off (Sun) just to hedge your fatigue levels, to be safe. anytime ive goine to 4 day where there is back to back days, i seem to burn out and get aches and pains after a couple months.
Obvious caveat that your lifts are well more advanced than mine. That said, I’ve been working on an every other day, U/L, eight-day split for quite awhile now, and it’s been pretty great. I’m this close to breaking my lifetime press PR from over four and a half years ago, and I only hit it every eight days. I remember when I used to think that if I didn’t hit it two or even three times per calendar week, it would crater. What a joke.mouse wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:18 amIt very well might be, and I'm hoping to figure that out... the way I laid it out this morning is still a U/L split but maybe the next go round I'll try fulls...cole wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 6:42 am ive alwyas thought m-w-f is actually optimal. you train full body, take the next day to recover, do that 3 times and take an extra day off (Sun) just to hedge your fatigue levels, to be safe. anytime ive goine to 4 day where there is back to back days, i seem to burn out and get aches and pains after a couple months.
Very well could be and hopefully I respond well, would obviously be cooler in a surplus but I'm not really trying to lose that much more weight anyway...DanCR wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 3:29 pmObvious caveat that your lifts are well more advanced than mine. I got 275x13 once and my legs had plenty left but the number of breaths needed between reps got to the point that I just called it.
Bruh, luckily 225 is so super light that I was able to breath my way through the reps after like 7 because I would have never made it. I hate standing there between reps trying to catch my breath, it just feels like I'm in a video game and my health bar is just draining away hahaha
