It’s even dumber than that. He was a registered testing pool athlete and went into a meet hot.

Why isn't it a record? And what record was it?
DirtyRed wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:10 amwas only beat in the squat by a guy who said he came in 8th at the previous Nationals (I dearly hope they thought to drug test him, just because it's common fucking sense to test the best lifter there), and I saw them call a completely competent teenager for drug testing instead. Though maybe they thought my LMAO3PLAET bench press was proof enough I wasn't on ANYTHING that could enhance performance. If I wasn't fat, they'd probably believe I was malnourished after that.

If nothing else, stop "randomly" testing, and just test the guys in the top 10 or whatever percent of the field. And probably anyone who sets any record. No one really cares if the guy third to last is on steroids.
I won* my last meet and got tested. I was told this is standard procedure.

*I may have been the only adult male there

Goddamnit, it IS a record. At least as far as I'm aware it's still a record. Maybe it WAS a record at this point.

Regardless, it's only "technically" an IPF record. Because it was a USAPL record. In Kentucky.

I have squatted more weight in a USAPL competition than any other Kentucky resident in the 105 kg weight class in history since the 105 kg weight class became a thing (like three years). It was 272.5 kg.

USAPL =/= IPF. IPF records are world records. You set a USAPL state record, not even the American record. The 105kg class men's open classic record for the USAPL (American record) is 331.5kg, for the IPF (world record) is 335kg.

Your 272.5kg squat, while impressive, isn't an IPF record. I get it, it's your schtick and all, but it's caused lots of people confusion unnecessarily. You should be proud that you're a state record holder and stop trying to claim anything else.

No other adult male KY resident has weighed under 105kg since the 105kg class was introduced.

I'll drop a couple pounds and come to Kentucky to scoop up the 93kg class gold medal. Who said strategy wasn't important in powerlifting?

It's problematic that you felt the need to specify "male."

True. Theoretically every weight class below 120 will be empty. 90% of the 5'0" tall lifters are 120kg and the remaining 10% are SHW. Everyone else 5'1" tall and up are SHW. :-)
