If you mean, "Is Les trying to kill me", than yes, I agree. This kitten thing is a lot of work.

23Oct2017

135x15
185x10
225x10
275x11@8.5

Everything was moving well.

DB Incline Bench
80x10x3

Face Pulls
84x10x3

My arms don't work anymore.

24Oct2017

Deadlift
135x15
225x5
315x5
375x5
425x10
385x4x4

Paused Squats
155x10
225x5
295x5x3

Plate Loaded Rows
190x10x3

Chin Grip Pulldowns
165x10x3

Barbell Ab Roller
10x3

My meat hooks hurt.

I had forgotten about how much I actually enjoy the adrenaline rush of one top set. I get jittery about it the day before and I think about it until I can get to the gym. When I get there I feel like kicking doors open and growling at people who try to talk to me. Just the one set. I can do one set. It was the normal lady crew at the gym, but they had a new friend in this morning. Apparently they told him I'm not normally that loud and don't typically talk to myself. Hahaha, little do they know...

I have absolutely no idea what the RPE was on my drop sets. Somewhere between zero and infinity.

Yeah, it's hard to rate the 4x4 after doing ~10RM.

Even after a long rest that first set of 4 feels way too heavy, but then they seem to get easier.

When I hit a heavy set one lifts, especially after I've been preparing for just one set as the meat of the workout, I tend to blow fuses. It wasn't that the 4x4 felt hard, the kind of did, but I just don't "feel" much at that point. I should probably have set up a video because I suspect the bar speed was fast and the drop sets were probably around @8. But, I didn't want to review video. I just wanted to set my timer, listen to music, and stare at the wall. Which is essentially what I did.

Forgot to add: Some guy I have occasionally seen around the gym called me "hulk" today. This pleases me.

Nice. For me, the rest of the workout is like going to work. Gotta do it, won't be super fun, won't be super hard. I have to fight to stay sharp and keep good form with the lighter sets.

Nice work on the deads! I am the same way, which is why I think I've seen more success with top set/drop set style programs (even other ones besides KUA). I too think about it while driving around or if I am in the office. I keep talking to myself until I know I can make it. :-)

You are looking pretty damn swole (no homo, well little homo).

26Oct2017

Press
45x10
95x10
135x10
165x9@8.5
150x6x4

My entire shoulder girdle felt beat up and tired for 165 and like the bar was barely loaded for 150. Press, I shall never understand thee.

CGBP
135x10
185x10
225x10
245x10x3

It was the correct choice dropping weight down from last week. I still have trouble keeping the assistance exercise perspective that these aren't supposed to be grinder type lifts. I learn, slowly.

Tri Pulldowns
87.5x12x3

Ez Bar Curlz
100x10.12.12

27Oct2017

Squat
45x15
155x10
225x5
315x5
385x5
435x10
390x5x4

Oof, I am glad to be on the other side of the 8s,that is for sure. I did figure out a better mental strategy to convince myself that this was all a good idea. I know that I can do 435x5, fairly easily. Well, then I just need to get a triple after that, which is easier than 5. Then just one more and I'm over my planned reps. And now, since I've done 9 and still have the bar out, may as well get 10, because that will be cool. If anyone was curious what a very simple organism I am, there you go.

Leg Press
450x12x3

Hamstring Curl 85x10x3

Ab Cable Pulldown
97.5(the stack)x12x3

That was the best comment that has ever been posted on one of my logs.

Aside: you were listening to science Friday today.

Why, yes, I was. I caught the segment on CRISPR pigs on the local public radio station on my way to an appointment today. I noted that, although CRISPR pig sounds like improved bacon, it's actually the opposite.

30Oct2017

Bench
45xlots
135x15
185x10
225x10
255x8
255x4x4

DB Incline Press
75x12x3

Face Pulls
85.5x10x3

LTE
105x12x3

Ez Bar Curlz
105x10x3

Easy weeks are easier. Bench was fine, but I was too lazy to strip weight from the bar, so just did sets across. I also took it relatively easy on the accessory work and tried to go with weights that would be moderate at 12 reps. All the pump.
