I've been training for a few years now. Like it's the case with many, it was more of the typical bodybuilding and machine-training stuff in the beginning, followed by the SS linear progression and too much program hopping after that.
Last summer I injured my lower back by straining the the spinal erectors right where they meet the sacrum. Had to skip training entirely for three months or so. After a quick LP to get back into things I started Andy Baker's "Garage Gym Warrior", and finished it with good success. (Long-awaited PRs, YAY!).
male, 25 y/o, 5'11" / 180 cm, 87 kg / 192 lbs (desperately trying to see 93-95 kg on the scale)
SVJ low enough to avoid taking the free test at my gym.
Last week's PRs:
Squat | 400 |
Bench Press | 275 |
Deadlift | 465 |
I'm going to start a new program tomorrow - Jordan's & Austin's "The Bridge". I liked GGW, but wanted to try RPE based training rather sooner than later. After finishing The Bridge in eight weeks, I'm going to evaluate what program I like better and start adjusting accordingly.
Also, my plan is to not skip the GPP days included by the doctores in The Bridge, since I want to improve my terrible stamina. However, I'm going to try and do the GPP work after day 1 and 2 of the program, reducing the total number of gym days per week from five to three.
I hate conditioning.
